Adjusted linkage
I did adjust the linkage. It seemed out of alignment. Had high hopes. Still same problem.
Goes in 4wheel.....for a short time. Then seems to pop out....rgrggrgrgrgr.
SO now I'm mulling what to do....I guess I'll price the shops first, what will it cost for rebuilding...
One day wheel drive goes GRGRGRGRG
I think My Transfer case might be doing what's talked about here.
One day ok.
Then next not....grgrgr (Grinding noise like gears arnt going in)
After it did this I played with it a little. It would go in gear for a few seconds Mayby 5 seconds. Then...

June M-1009
My M-1009 (From MO) was in great shape, small issues. Windshield washer, rear window crank, door hinges worn out (Duh 25 yo truck). It had been serviced regularly. The front bearing had fresh grease...

Learning on the fly
I learn alot every day. I am thinking I'm gonna leave the IR lights alone.
I'm leaning towards a 24v light like NAPAs
Lamp / Utility, Par 46, Rubber, Tractor & Utility Lamp; Round; Bulb
Then when I want the IR lights, I'll just swap them. Kinda expensive....but I can...
Did I read somewhere, somebody had but clear lenses in their IR light housings?
I got my IR lights (thanks CARNAC!) and am wondering if I can mount them and use clear lenses on them, then put IR lenses in when needed......
Or would I be better off just buying some quality HELLA off road...
I have same thing happening....
At start up, the heavy load seems to cause slipping. I was going to wait awhile and try Goodyear Gatorback belts...... I've had great luck with those belts in the past.
Great thread.....Now I can look at other issues too...
My M-1009 is pretty new to me...
My point
My original point is this....
If you desire a gasket you can find them.....But its hard. I made mine, and have plenty of gasket paper left over for other projects.
I don't want some one thinking RTV is the only option. 90% or more people just use RTV. I have never been one to...
