I used 3M Window-Weld polyurethane in the channel and omitted the rubber. I masked the glass, filled the channel (sash) with poly and quickly pressed the sash on. Ran a finger down either side to remove excess and pulled the tape off the glass. It sets up fast so be sure to remove the tape...
Look under the dash at the "kick down" detent switch attached to the accelerator arm. It sounds like it is out of adjustment. When the switch is made it sends 12 volts to energize the detent solenoid in the tranny. That controls your kick down.
I added some radio equipment purchased from Pvt. Jarhead last week.
Both radios are display only and Inop. Also I took artistic license when installing the speakers and intercom selector so this hybrid VRC-47/VRC-12 set-up may not be anatomically correct. But looks pretty dadgum cool!
I may wire...
Update: The Acdelco lines showed up today and they installed easily. Although one was made in Mexico and the other in China, the flex hose, tubing and swaging were near identical to the originals removed. The overall quality was light years ahead of the Dormans. The bends lined up with the lower...
Hey guys, I have two J code 6.2s available to me as a replacement spare for my m1009. This will be a winter garage rebuild project.
They may or may not be runners and are removed from their vehicles. The question is, on initial inspection of the motors at pick up, what are the top 5 items which...
I can vouch for the SEM product. It worked very well on my dash cover and has held up well to the direct sunlight and doesnt scratch. My door panels are a different story. They scratch easily. Now in SEMs defense, I didn't use their plastic prep before shooting it. I just sanded the oxidation...
I ended up ordering the Delco hoses from rockauto after searching threads as so routinely suggested by Doghead.
So with $54 invested in Dorman trash and $114 in Delco hoses I'm hoping they will last for a while. I would consider returning the Dormans but unfortunately they are in "less than...
All reviews are opinions.
My experience with them today led me to this conclusion. For example, the lower rigid line bends were not even close to OEM and in no way shape or form would they be able to be clamped in the original spot. The swages were absolutely horrid on both ends and the aluminum...
With mine I just hold the button until my wait light goes out and count 5 more mississippi's then crank it. Starts on the first crank most of the time. Not sure which portions of your card are inop so this may not apply to your situation.
Classicindustries.com has all the GM decals you seek. Just search restoration decals and tags on the site. The other site quoted above has your mil-spec decals.
I hope that helps.

Understood, I guess the only sure way to see where it's coming from is to have someone manipulate the accelerator while your listening from the outside. The acoustics inside the cab could be misleading. I had a "metal in a blender" noise coming from the fan area when I first got the truck. I...
The squeaking could be your lift pump cavitating due to air in the line. It's probably not your sender since there are no moving or rotating parts aside from the float arm. Looks like your on track with the fuel line replacement.
I replaced the floor pans on both sides due to rot partially caused by the sill plate screws so the original holes no longer exist. Flipping them around would put 3 more holes an inch away from the existing holes. I could gring them down and fill them with structural filler and pick up nrw holes...
