I was asking for input on both. I am just not sure what I want to do. I want to do the Cummins and transmission swap but an not sure I want to take the truck offline for that long.
The turbo swap could be done cheaper and quicker but I am afraid that it may not be what I want for the truck...
Hey everyone,
I have a dilemma. I was looking into getting a GM turbo setup from a 98 3500 for my 1008 but the father of my friend is possibly selling his 95 3500 Dodge 2wd with a cummins and a 5 speed manual transmission.
I am not sure which one to do now. I know there are a lot of little...
I have a Haldex 12V pump mounted on the drivers side inner fender. Member Wayne Pick has the same set up on his. He is the one that lead me in that direction. It was pricy but I ordered it through Northern Tool. The pump works great and is plenty strong for my 8' speedcast setup. If the...
Plowboy and sandbar, I am envious! Soon, soon. Maybe. As for my 08, I pulled off the baby blue dash pad and am about ready to clean up the gauges and put on the black dash pad. Next is a coolant flush and replacement of the hoses.
Plowed my dads driveway and mine today. It did awesome!! I also had to pull it out of a snowbank with my F350. I went just a little to far to the left and slid off the driveway. Lol!
Is it a complete hydraulic setup or is it electric hydraulic? What size plow? Mine is an 8' and the m1008 handles it just fine. Add about 750lbs to the back and it is a tank!
I finally have my plow setup and running! I was also able to fix my electrical problems I was having the other day. Now it is time to get a new headlight harness and adjusters.
I was hooking up my electric/hydraulic pump and caused some sort of electrical problem. The headlights are intermittent, the turn signals don't work when the headlights are on, the volt gauge is in the yellow and other little things going on. Looks like I have a lot of troubleshooting I do...
I tried a search and nothing came up.
Here is the story. I started the truck today and let it warm up a bit. I drove it for about 10 minutes to my buddy's shop to do some welding on the plow frame. Nothing was different than any other time I drove it.
After we were done I left the shop...
This is what I was looking to do for my truck as well as my plow frame does not have any lights right now. Model numbers would be great. Thanks in advance!
Well yesterday was new belts, doghead and vent window install. The plow frame is also on. Just waiting on the pump and my welder to finish up on the plow frame. I am thinking that I need tires as well.
