    M35a2 block heater

Why do we have so many threads about block heaters and how they work? Really now. Water heats and moves, hot up cool down very simple. And the thermostat is not even relevant in regard to a block heater. The water will heat and warm the steel around it even if a little. The idea is not to have...

    Second Gear

With proper maintenance and lack of abuse I think second gear is fine. My opinion only mind you. Also mine goes into second just fine. I just can't see any reason unloaded why second is so bad. Especially when the truck is bobbed and weighs less.

    Second Gear

Would someone please help me understand why we should not take off in second gear? Why would the load on second gear with an empty truck be any worse than taking off in first gear with a loaded truck and shifting to second. Or even shifting to second on a hill. I am not sure the torque load is...

    burnt out block heaters

What size heater are you using? If you are running too large of a heater it can boil the water around it and run too hot. Also is there any possibility of air in your system or low coolant level? That can also burn them out after you park and shut down as the element can become partially or...

1000 Watt coolant heater in water pump casting question

A tee will hit the alt. Also be very careful as to it hitting on the inside of the water pump. Verify it will clear before you button it up. Mine cleared but not all will. Westfolk sells a 600 watt that will fit for sure. I used a 1000 watt heater that cleared but have learned that I got lucky...

lets see your m35 in the snow pics! bobbed or stock lets see em

We got a little bit of snow last night nothing big but here they are. I can't wait to get out today turn on the heat and go recover the less than cautious ones that always end up off of the road and in the ditches. Four inches of snow can ruin the day for some.

What do you use to clean off your engine?

E-Z off oven cleaner on a warm engine then the local car wash. Cheap and E-Z (pun intended) not to mention that it really works well.
