With proper maintenance and lack of abuse I think second gear is fine. My opinion only mind you. Also mine goes into second just fine. I just can't see any reason unloaded why second is so bad. Especially when the truck is bobbed and weighs less.

We got a little bit of snow last night nothing big but here they are. I can't wait to get out today turn on the heat and go recover the less than cautious ones that always end up off of the road and in the ditches. Four inches of snow can ruin the day for some.
