Ok, I have a m1009 that is being parted out. I bought it knowing it needed an IP. I traded the front doghouse for a used IP. I never checked before taking the fenders and stuff off if it would turn over. I checked tonight if it would by putting in 2 batterys. NO GO,NOTHING. Who knows what...
We used them at FT. Campbell for slingloading under choppers. You can sling load single or in pairs side by side. The Hummer we used the ones that come up through the hood. A jack wont hurt them but if you put a single chain through both front or rears and pull real hard they will bend in...
I wish I wasnt so busy. I would of liked seeing the place again. I used to have AT in the Ohio National Guard there every summer. I have climbed that multiteared hill in a Hemmit. It made it but the tranny got alittle warm. Lol. Its very sandy up there with some deep mud holes if you go...
I will bringing parts off a m1009. I am not sure yet as they are for sale locally. I am working on getting a complete set up to put a 4 speed in a cucv. Tranny, pedels, flywheel, steering column and any small things. Let me know if you need something.
Its had a few bubble baths. Lol. Once all of the junk was out it wasnt to bad. The dash had no cracks in it.
I started to take it apart to sell and every response I got was to sell it complete. So i am now bolting everything back on. Ick. If it doesnt sell by the GA ralley you will see...
Recovery4x4, you missed 1 blazer that I picked up from CSMdavis. LOL.
The first Blazer and M1010 I am keeping. The rest I have sold or will sell to fund my addiction to OD.
This is the last truck for this year. I hope......
Doug.
Yep it said that. The head guy told me that it was flooded where it sat. He didnt think it got up to the hubs though. Who knows, It rolled good and the tires are in good shape. I am just enjoying driving around getting these things. My brother on the other hand hates me. I tend to put...
Believe it or not this thing was located in a Forrest Employees land. They let him keep it at his home for the last 7 to 8 years. Wow. Up on the hill was a red M1008 that they still used. My GPS wouldnt even find this place. Always an adventure.
I plan to part it out. I cant title it in Ohio due to how they listed it. I have way to many MV now but this was complete truck. Lots of little things I can use for my M1009 or M1010.:grd:
I pulled this home today. It was in West Virginia woods growing moss on it. I got it as a scrap title truck out of GSA. I took a couple pics where it sat and then some after a bubble bath. I was told it had a bad IP.
This was a little scary as it had snake skins on the front bumper and...
Everything I have bought off of GL or GSA stated did not run. I have put batterys in 2 trucks and they both fired right up. My M1010 just took a 20 mile drive last night to a farm. Its just a gamble I would say. Now the M1009 that I will get this week or next is a different monster. It was...
I like it. I will be doing this in the spring to my m1009. I have to get another set of axle though. Someone offered me to much for the one`s out of the USS Minnow. We will see.
