does that mean that a 800 series 5 ton engine and trans will fit in the engine compartment of a deuce?? if so, i think that would be an AWESOME upgrade.
what is the rear going to look like?? are you going to use the 2.5 axles fo0r something else?? a friend of mine is looking for a for for his mud truck. he owns a steel company so he is all about trading steel and powder coat services for an axle.
the speedo adapter off a 800 series 5 ton works great. the 395 are about the same diameter as a 1100-20. I use one when I went to A3 tires and wheels and it is on the money.
I say drive it. if it breaks down, you can arrange to have it shipped at that point, and if it doesn't, you get to tell stories of the trip to your friends and us latter. We drove ours to FT Knox, KY, from Florida just after getting the them issued. took our time and got there with out a...

the A3 has a counter weight on the rim opposite of the CTIS valve. if your is missing, it will have a out of balance feeling. the extra nuts might fix it, but the right fix is the counter wieght, or delete the valve all together. if the CTIS works, you can make the weights, but i may have...
seems like an easier solution is to buy a deuce and use it. it would add to your motor pool, and give you something else to drive when the need for OD overcomes you
