3rd Gear High Or 5th Gear Lo

Also on one of those long hills, that I know I wont be pulling 4th in, Ill set my hand throttle to keep the truck at around 22mph. Since my tact doesnt work, not exactly sure what RPM it is, But it doesnt sound like its screaming its head off.

3rd Gear High Or 5th Gear Lo

I've been wondering for a while and didnt see anything that adressed this issue. When yall are stuck going up a hill in the 20-25mph range, do you guys use 3rd High or 5th lo? If I'm loaded I'm normally in 5th LO, but empty I'll keep it in 3rd high. What do you guys do, and is there any...

    Deuce In the Snow. Amazing.

The bottom half was wet, top was dry. As for the grades. Some of the roads we where on I'd say are an easy 8-10% as they felt alot steeper the the main highway at 6%. If all goes well, We should be going back up in the next few days,I'll try and get some more action shots if we do.

    Found a M62

Would the PTO off that truck work on a 809? If so Id nab the PTO. (I dont need it, but Id suspect that PTO would be worth it to keep).

Who has installed ARB air lockers in at least one axle of thier bobber?

I went to a mud bog with a M107 in the bed of my truck, Got way better traction then when I removed it. I only took it out because it kept hitting my hard top and didnt feel like being decapitated.

    one good load of wood

Makin me want a 105 even more....... I did the math saying, if I stack the load 4 ft high, and the width of the deuce bed, x 8ft long. I have almost 2 cords with there with another 4x4x7.5ft space left to fill. easy 3 cords if ya stack 4.5ft tall across the entire truck. Another way...

    Fuel Leak

Every time I found a leak on my truck I was out and about, Swung by an auto parts store and bought some rubber fuel hose and a few worm clamps. Cut the broken section out and slide the rubber hose about 1in on either side and clamp down. Have done it 3 times so far with no ill effects as far as...

Who has installed ARB air lockers in at least one axle of thier bobber?

I am definatly putting at least 2 lockers in my stock truck. I spend enough time out in the dunes/mud to warrent the use. But I also DD my deuce so I was going to with Detroits/lock outs on the front and and arb in the rear rear. Then after price checking, I found I could get ARBs cheapers then...

    one good load of wood

We get our wood from the Mt. Hood Nat. Forest. They have very strict and designated cutting areas that you are alowed to get it from. Cant fall any trees, but anything on the ground is game. Last place we where at, there had to have been 100-200 cords of stacked 20-30ft lengths of logs. We...

    one good load of wood

When we go its always a marathon cutting. Dont come back till we have at least my truck full, 2 1ton trucks with trailers. We normally pull down 8 cords a trip. Having the log spliter on hand really means you can pack more wood into each trip. Cant wait until I get a 105 so I can start hauling...

    Ferro got a tank

I swear I remember reading a story on here about someone aquireing a tanker like that still full of diesel, talk about a score. Fun fact - If your 5ton got 6mpg with a full tanker, you could drive around he planet once before ya had to stop for fuel.
