I took my m1009 on a run with the local off road club this weekend and one of the members noticed that my truck was driving a little sideways. After a quick inspection I discovered that the bonehead who owned my truck before me installed one of the lift blocks upside down so the rear axle is...
When I was poking around by the fuse block I noticed a block that looked to have a speaker or buzzer in it tucked up with all the relays up there. Is that supposed to sound and when? Only when there is a prob or when the ignition is switched on?
Thanks,
Miles
They are load rating C and yes it still has the 3.08's. It has a decent amount of power, but I am in the market for some 14 bolts with 4.10's or 3.73's.
I am going to see in they are patch-able tomorrow. They don't have gashes, just a small 1/4" puncture spot. They hold air if that part of the tire isn't on the ground. So when I drive down the street I get a pssht--pshht--pssht--pssht sound, but if I park it it holds air.
I have a set of 35" bfg mud-terrains on my m1009 that were on it when I bought it. They are in great shape except two of them are flat. They both have holes in the sidewall right where the tread ends. Is this a weak spot on them because my friends buggy with 32" mud terrains has a hole in the...
Wow this post is old, but I never found the problem. The door seems to be correct with the body so I am guessing it is the fender. There is no play in the door when I lift up on it. It has new body mounts so I think that is ok. How would I go about moving the fender?
It would be cool to replace it with one of those self-returning aircraft safety switches (the ones with the red-cover you have to lift up). I was thinking of doing that on my Model A.
If unplugging it will do the trick I think I am ok as mine is unscrewed and tucked up in there. Just grab it and pull. I looked at it tonight and it seems like those wires aren't that big. How much amperage to these have going through them? It seems to be a decent size solenoid for the wires...
Electrical problems are fun! :-D Hopefully you figure it out. Sounds like you got some wires crossed. My gen2 light comes on dimly when the engine is idling, but both alts are putting out so it is just a minor problem. Don't go by what those lights say check everything with a multimeter.
How is the pintle hitch supposed to be attached on the m1009? Mine has no support on the bottom and it appears (there are two holes) that something may go there. Otherwise it would appear to just bend out during heavy pulling. A picture would be great.
Thanks,
Miles
When I start my m1009 in the mornings and begin to drive it doesn't like to shift and winds out the motor. However after about .5 mi it seems to warm up and be fine. Whats up with that? It wasn't doing this until the IP was changed. Oh and the vacuum lines are new.
Mine just did the same thing. Except I was 300MI from home and didn't have all my tools to take the IP apart and clean it on the side of the road. So I am waiting for the local mechanic to replace the IP as he assured me that although it was simply clogged it was beyond repair .
