    Advice needed

Ditto on the kerosene or diesel, but ATF has changed in last few years. Todays ATF has so many different friction modifiers etc that isn't good for a injection pump. They've took the zinc out of our oil, the sulphur out of our diesel, flammabilty out of our WD-40 and totally ruined our...

Another. Does your noise sound similiar to this?

This was an injector knock. No skipping, bucking, or jumping, just tapping.

    Advice needed

Yes, the 6.2/6.5 has hydraulic lifters, as do the 6.9/7.3 Internationals in Fords. Most diesels do have mechanical lifters, though. It could be a lifter, but I'd still try to bleed the injectors near where the noise is coming from. Air in an injector is very common when these engines have...

    M1009 Accessory Part Numbers

I can't help you with the others, but this was the label on NOS my antenna guard.

Crank it back up, and bleed the injector line on the suspect cylinder(s). If air gets trapped at the injector, they sound just like a lifter tap. I've seen them do this when they have sat for a while. It could be a collasped lifter, but it is not highly likely.

    Ultra Rare hardtop found!!!

Thanks! My kids absolutely love this old stuff, especially my boy. I have a 2002 Z71, and he will literally cry sometimes if I drive it instead of the "War Wagon" (my M1009) or my "Hot Rod Car" (my '69 SS Camaro). He bugs me everyday asking me when can he ride in the Jeep (M715). When I'm...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Added custom wheel spacers to rear, and went junkyard diving yesterday and bought a VERY nice passenger door to replaced the patented GL forklift damaged door!

    Ultra Rare hardtop found!!!

It actually doesn't look that bad. Its got a lot of surface rust, but doesn't seem to eat up. I'll get pics and a price for you next time I'm over there.

    Ultra Rare hardtop found!!!

I didn't get to talk to him about it. He's got some other old Jeep stuff, but I'm not what he'd want for it. I didn't see this one until I was about ready to leave. He's got another complete Jeep, but its rough and he's got 2 other tubs that actually really decent. I asked him about the other...

    Ultra Rare hardtop found!!!

My boy and I were rambling around in a local salvage yard today getting parts for my CUCV and my M880 and I found this bad boy. The top was very interesting, and I thought I'd share it with you guys!;)

    What years 6.5 turbo

Yes they will fit. The 6.5 crossover pipe gets a close to firewall, but it stays pretty tight to the block. Here's a video of 6.5 set up in this body trucks. The 6.5 turbo sounds so sweet on these engines! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBFIqoXTsa0&NR=1...

    Bought a M880!

I got out there today and changed the oil and replaced the spark plugs, and it runs a little crisper now. I also took the grille off, and striaghten it. It turned better than I thought it would. I'm going to mount a bridge plate over it and it will probably cover all of it.

When do you change Glow plugs?

Ditto. I've found that once they start going, it is not going to be long all of them start going. Also, I don't want the hassle of tracking down the bad ones. I'd rather pay $80 every 3 or 4 years and not have to worry about them.

My M1009 starts great with only 4 working glow plugs?

The 60G's are great plugs, but expect to either grind the terminals down just a little to fit the plugs on the harness, or change out the plugs on the harness. Either way is no big deal. I usually take a little off the terminal on the GP with a bench grinder. The Bosch Duraterms fit with no...
