It does look like the front axle is on the bump stops. and the rear suspension extended a bit. Simple physics at work.

    Jeez, that's already a screaming deal, impulse787.

I remembered correctly, sort of. The 22' is without extending the boom. And it looks like they're measuring from where the hook attaches, not at the hook itself.

If memory serves me, max height/reach is 22 feet. Of course, at max extension the stated capacity is only 2,000 lbs. And I need to go look at the decal and see if that's max height, or the height of the hook. Stay tuned.

Flu419 front hydraulic system normal pressure?

Tarek, if my notes on the old belts are correct, the pump is 9440, the P/S is 9350, and the water/alternator is 9670.

    leaky cylinders

Can't help you with that, James, but do keep the basics in mind; leave a bit extra to accommodate movement at any bends, and don't forget to take into account how much shorter the hoses get when under pressure. The latter almost came back and bit me when I ran the hoses for the snow blower from...

    Running backwards?

No, I didn't, since it wasn't exactly an expected situation. But thankfully the car behind me, a VW bug, was close enough that I avoided hitting the gas cap with my private parts. Had to think quickly on that one, but convinced the bug's driver that he had hit me, since I didn't have a Reverse...

You can get the gauge from the manufacturer. They're not exactly the same anymore, but obviously still serve the purpose.

    Running backwards?

Another was my first motorcycle, a 2-stroke. Naturally I had to mess with the timing on it, and just as naturally I was ready to take off like a bat out of ****, sitting first at a stoplight. Much to my surprise, instead of gloriously taking off, I ended up hitting the car behind me.

    FLU419 Snow Plow

Sorry, been out of town for a while. Got the 'blower from Skid Pro, but can't remember why I went with theirs over whatever else is out there. Any low-flow Bobcat style should work, as long as it's not overly large. Other than running the wiring for the chute (and, of course, the hydraulic...

Unimog FLU 419 needing a clutch

New sealing washers are dirt cheap.

I would try putting a good additive into the pump, through the injector lines, before removing anything.

You gave me a good idea. Or let's call it an idea for now. If I pour a bunch of that stale gas down a centrally located prairie dog hole, then light it, I could have those darn sod poodles shooting out of a dozen holes. Probably to quickly to use the trusty .22, so a shotgun may be more...

    leaky cylinders

Somewhere in the main thread is the story about my reluctant bucket pin, and how I finally got it out. That included using 50/50 ATF and acetone, which puts all other penetrating oils to shame. Hitting pins harder can really backfire, as they tend to mushroom.

    Unimog FLU419 Tractor thing?

Except for the feed and return lines and their QD couplings, I'd think that everything is standard Case 580 D stuff. If it's a D, I don't remember for sure.

    Unimog FLU419 Tractor thing?

I'm painfully aware of that I haven't used mine much recently, but I'll do my best to put another hundred or so hours on one.

Sounds like fun, peakbagger. I hope you rinsed out the fuel system really well. Without even having to touch anything electrical, except for charging the battery, I'm arguing with a small generator that has been sitting since 2011. This excuse for gasoline we get these days has been keeping me...

I'd use the clamp-on meter if I wanted to know. Every connection in an electrical system is a potential problem source, so the fewer the better, I think.

Ron, only a lack of time has prevented me from ripping all that crap out. I'm especially suspicious of the shunt by the batteries, which may be a problem source on my Winter SEE. Then again, with the system intact there's a 50/50 chance that a rodent will gnaw on a useless wire rather than one...
