    has anyone heard of alfaheaven

Yep...the 14.50R20 tire is easily 250 lbs without the wheel (I don't remember exactly how much, but figured on ~350 with the wheel, that's probably close). They are designed to stop small caliber arms fire and shrapnel ("Tactical radial"). Super tough, super heavy, super stiff, wear like iron...

    14.00 x 24 tires for M123 10 ton

Good luck on the M123 tires. It's my understanding they have not been produced in years. Here's a good link: VanNatta Big Trucks - The big 6x6 Mack M123A1C Look at the section about tires... I've seen some road grader tires can still be found in that size, but as far as NDCCs, unless Coker...

    Tan paint question

OK, this worked out *great* for me: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/145918-post18.html Latex house paint...good quality stuff. Stuck to the primer well too. So far so good. Very flat, and will not fade in sunlight (or at least not yet). And it's like $25 a gallon mixed up at Home Depot/Lowes...

Guys, I will be there from Thursday-Sat. Spots 113/114 (Yes, I reserved two as I have a large RV trailer and sometimes she don't fit in one space). We'll be driving down from Portland early Thursday AM (about 10 hour drive), so if all goes well we'll be there in the late afternoon. Looking...

    Road trip to Alaska

Just remember that you have to are also getting back *into* the US, so make sure you have your Passport/Travel card ID thing and *all* paperwork for your trucks (****, I'd carry the title with me!) and that it's all in order. This would be more for the US re-entry than getting into Canada...

    WA / OR non-CDL guys

Wow...I had to do exactly *none* of the above to register my Deuce in Oregon. And I registered it at full capacity. I did need to get "T" plates (truck plates) for it, which cost about $225 a year (yes, a year), but I do not need a CDL to drive it. The cut-off in Oregon is 26K lbs...the deuce...

    Road trip to Alaska

Having been down the Alcan myself...let me suggest that everyone bring as many spare tires as you can. Those roads eat tires. There's miles-n-miles of (good) gravel road...but they use crushed gravel that contains a lot of obsidian...very sharp and they can work their way into your tires. We...

    Deuce License Plate Light??

I mounted mine on the mudflap, and wired in a cheap NAPA plate light (maybe $10) with a 24v bulb in it. Shot it Tan to match the truck. Works great, and makes me legal.

    Best Gear shift knob

I've always liked the chrome skull with the flashing red eyes. OK, Chrome does not belong on an MV, but c'mon.... A flight control stick from an old jet fighter would be neat as well...plus it has buttons galore! :)
