    Deuce shear pins for sale

Big thread on this here: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/7948-winch-shear-pins.html Note that you need to get the alloy and heat treating right first, or you will get pins that yield at the incorrect time.

    Axle Nut Wrenches

These sell for about $35-40 at NAPA, and I've seen some as low as $20 (can't find the OTC number for the 3" though). Here's the link for the NAPA one that I have: Spindle Lock Nut Socket, Truck; 3" Octagon The NAPA part number is SER2445. I think I got mine for a few bucks less than on the...

    Axle Nut Wrenches

The axle nuts need to be torqued to a specific tightness....that's why I just bought a 3" socket from NAPA, so I could use my torque wrench when re-installing the nut and getting the proper pre-load on the bearings. Not sure how you do that with this style of axle nut wrench.

    M973 (BV206) fun

If you bring that to the 2010 MVPA convention in Denver, I want a ride! I *might* be there with the Weasel if the restoration goes well.

    m35a2 winch help

That's a good start, but trust me, you'll want to replace all of the mounting fasteners, as they will assuredly be rusty and/or bent. Note also that the bolts that hold the winch to the extensions are custom shoulderd, so keep those. They are hard to find. Make sure you mark them as you take...

    m35a2 winch help

There are also a few more small parts like the 1/4" plate welded to the bumper corner plates (spacers), some shearpins (DO NOT USE A BOLT!), and various hardware (trust me, you'll want to replace most of the fasteners if you get them with the parts). There are a few 1/2" and 5/8" bolts that are...

I noticed that...it was pretty ballooned out when you were driving. Maybe check it to make sure it's tied down correctly...not supposed to do that you know...

    Another long distance recovery...

Nice...I remember driving mine back that same route (well, from Idaho Motor Pool onwards). Fun. How about that nice 30mph headwind? I was getting like 6mpg in the truck fighting that! Once we got past Hood River (and the wind) the mileage about doubled!

Does your truck have a flame manifold heater? Is the injector/valve for that leaking?

    Another long distance recovery...

Was that you on I-84 Yesterday (Sunday)? If so, that was me that passed you...towing the red weasel on a trailer. I honked, but you were wearing ear protection, so not sure if you noticed me. This would have been just west of Boardman. Saw it again (I think) on Brookwood over by the airport...

    Thieves

If you used the US Mail to send the money (registered mail is best) and do not get the goods, you can file a mail fraud claim. The Postmaster goes after these much better than any other organization. So, if sending money and not 100% sure of the legitimacy of the deal, take out some insurance...
