The OP started this thread because of a battery drain. I recently shorted my batteries bc of my handywork and going off road and hitting a rut too hard.... Anyway while my batteries were shorted out and smoking and while I was taking the bolts off with a channel locks ...I was thinking it sure...

What about... a cut off inbetween the 2 bateries including the smaller red wire that goes back to the fire wall... Or would i need 2 switches?

I have no power loss in my 6.2 diesel... Im adding wmo, and WVO just have a pre heated fuel filter before the stock filter... the only time I had power loss was because of dirty fuel filters.

I made a float and got in ours here in Louisville a couple of years ago.

I welded a big washer in the middle of the bracket to holt it together. I wish I welded washers over all the bolt holes to make it stronger... Its built to bust.

What if i put the cut off on the positive battery closest to the firewall. Would that cut off everything, or would it bleed through the smaller negative wire that gows toward the gpr???

I did some reading on the kill switch...I need to rethink that.

OMG! I was off road hit a big unseen rut... big bounce! and the my top bracket hoding my batterys down somehow (Bad Mechanic work) shorted the batterys....front negative and back positive..24volt short....batterys were Smoking... all the lights went out.... My batteries were cooking under the...

I put a webb 525 heater self cleaning filter in line before the stock set up to heat my WVO. works great.

My bracket broke again but in a different spot... the top tab broke...I tightened it, and am leaving it for now but im going to weld it, since it appears replacement is futile. Im going to keep adding metal. Maybe weld another washer. PS subjock, i found bolts and studs at the true value...

I got on this site bc of that damb bracket. bought a new one ...it broke..welded it...now the top pivot bolt broke....Im going to have that welded too. GM has sold millions of them... so i have broke 3 in 4 yrs less than 30k miles...they will keep breaking.

So I ran my my veggie/used moter oil mix to a half tank and refilled with diesel. With the higher concentration of diesel it fires right up... so im running 70%diesel 30% filtered WVO with some WMO with it. Runs great! Lots of pecimists and fear mongers on here. Has anybody damaged the 6.2...

Sounds like a lack of fuel problem....The only time mine acted that way is when i had a bad fuel filter and it would slow down going up hills on the expressway. Loss of power... Maybe some other fuel restriction????

I made a batch of 70% wvo 20% wmo and 10% rug ... It ran good(Ihave a fuel heater) but had hard start. so I ran it down to a half tank and filled it it up with Diesel bc it is really cold 20-36 lately 12-6-10 Im starting my M1009 with a blast of either. i hope I havent created an either...
