Well I might as well start this tread since my CUCV Suburban project is about 1/2 completed. About a month ago I bought a 1990 GMC Suburban 2500 6.2L 2WD base fleet from a local city auction for $1000. It was a little rough on the inside, but the body was solid. It is not a 4X4, but I have had...
I find it faster to just cut the holes with my plasma cutter. Lately I have been able to make bolt holes real well with the plasma and using stepping drill bit to smooth it out. I never thought a plasma would get so much use, but it has saved me countless hours working on my vehicle and trailer...
Front limited slip and slightly high payload, that is it. Unless you need a front locker the M1008 will be fine, but that front limited slip really helps off road.

If anyone can post up or provide me (us) with details of how to put the M1008 bumper on a Suburban/Blazer. I started to do this mod yesterday and saw that it probably needs cutting of the rear of the frame. This is not a major issue as I have a plasma cutter, but I would rather see what needs to...
Did you install the headlight relay harness? You will overload your fuse if you did not with that much amperage. The system is not well designed for the stock factory system, adding H4 headlights requires the harness to take the load off of the fuse panel. You said this is plastic, they make a...
You stole my Suburban, LOL
I will be putting a M1008 bumper on my white 90 Suburban here soon. What was the modifications needed to make it fit? was it just some bending or dripping holes?
True a bonded title is for when there is no title in hand and you complete that process to register it in your name. However if you cannot get the original title signed by the power of attorney for the person that is deceased, you run the risk of loosing your bond and the vehicle being taken...
I can say that sometimes you get a better deal from a private seller, but it is rare I must say. I bought one of my CUCV for less then what the average GL price was and is currently. I was able to test drive it, knew what I needed to fix on it right away and it and had a clear Texas title. I...
Great post, I just got a 1990 GMC Suburban C2500 6.2L with converted R134a A/C from City of Fort Worth auction. They are great trucks and having A/C in a older 6.2L is great plus.
I would check the axle fluid levels by changing them out, always good to know what your gears look like on a used...
Very nice, I first heard about these on Pawn Stars and though it was a cool vehicle. This is a pretty good article about that episode I found.
Fosters.com - Dover NH, Rochester NH, Portsmouth NH, Laconia NH, Sanford ME
Speaking of the EAA, currently Google Maps has the EAA Fly In satellite images when you look in that area from 2011. Pretty cool to see all that from the satellite view along with all the trucks that probably came back from service overseas.
No, but odd is I just saw one of those wheels for sale on my local Craigslist and is listed as a Chevrolet military wheel. Wonder if that is just some custom job or real military trailer. It will be interesting to see what is posted here.
Airtex - Diesel Electric Fuel Pump Part # E8153
This is the one and others here use, have them myself in all my CUCV trucks and works great. Makes it easy to prime the system after a fuel filter change where you only need to turn it on to bleed out the air. :jumpin:

Welcome, I see you are a Peace Officer going by your user ID & pictures? I see you are in front of what looks like a Eurocopter AS-350, are you also a pilot? I am not but love helicopters.
Have you previewed anything yet at Saginaw? If you have not let me know when you are going as I have a...
