RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Won new toy today
I was looking around on GL and I saw a 1991 V3500 4 door in pretty good shape. (Sale: 3337 Lot:1333) You might be able to use that as your basis for your M1028 Contact 3+3.
Haha yeah, just less of a trial and error in this case. I have also forgotten clamps many times, once on sunday afternoon...every place was closed and I had to drive around with a leaky exhaust for a day.
I have been up to The Pipeline up in Nicolet. Not in my CUCV, but with my dad in his Xterra. It was pretty fun.
That would be cool to get a little group of Steelsoldiers from WI, the U.P. and Minnesota up to the Pipeline for a run.
Agreed on that point too. I just have the mufflers hacked under the cab. (I got over-excited with a sawzall one day) It does sound just like a big-cammed big block by the exhaust but still a ratting oil burner up at front. I need to go to Autozone soon to find some Cherrybombs!!
(P.S.- Thanks...
I agree. Yeah, duals just sound better on a lot of vehicles, thats about it. But a single 3 inch would probably eliminate the popping that was talked about earlier, too!
RE: Re: RE: exaust...
I'm sure there is room. I have one on my Mercury. I suppose it's just finding space w/o interference.
Yeah for this application a single 3 inch would flow better, but as it's been said before 6.2 don't flow too much.
Re: RE: exaust...
I believe an x-pipe would help the popping a little. They smooth/mellow the tone making it less raspy (at least on gassers). And h-pipe however would not, they only balance the sound. Also, if you have ever have an x-pipe put in a car, have a muffler shop do it. It is so much...
RE: Re: RE: Pulley??
I checked mine today and I, like Radioshop, noticed that the balancer seemed to be running straight but the pulley is not. So bad pulley?
RE: exaust...
:ditto: I looked at Flowmasters for my Grand Marquis, they all sound the same and they are all over $60 a piece, I just went with straight pipes, sounds better anyways and not too loud. Sorry off topic.
Back on: I have the mufflers cut off on my 1008 a little to loud in the cab...
RE: Re: RE: Seatbelt Light
:ditto:
The alternative redneck (and destructive) way is taking a screwdriver and punch it through the dash lens and into the light. I'd try the seat belt switch thing, otherwise I'm not too sure how difficult it is to get to the back of the light and unplug, or you...
Hahaha, I know right. "Oh sh*t! Dave, did you put that there?"
But still the dash cover looks a little better than mine. Does the Army house bears in the cabs of these trucks?
I'd take the dash. Although I don't know what the shipping would be. Well I guess I'd be interested either way. Send me a PM with your asking price etc...
$380!!!! Holy crap!!!!!
P.S.~ Tibby, you had better knock on wood, or you'll probably get busted withing the next 2 weeks.
And is your truck an ex-Ill. Nat'l guard truck? Cuz mine has those holes drilled (where I have conveniently mounted my plate) in the exact same place. (or maybe it...
WI. law states there has to be license plate lights, but there are other Vehicle Equipment laws that state if something was not installed from the factory it isn't required. I'm not sure if you could get away with that argument though.
As for the bagging on cops... no, not all cops are bad, they...
