RE: Re: RE: Nice mail
I am glad my neighbors were cool about my truck being parked in the street for a month or so while I fixed the head gasket this summer, and whenever I start it it is loud(no muffler) and smokes like crazy. No complaints yet!! ::Knock on wood::
The drive/crankshaft pulley on my m1008 is very wobbly. Anyone had this problem? Could it just be loose and needs to be put back on and properly torqued, or is there a deeper issue i should be on the watch for? And are there any big problems that can be caused by this?
ILLEGAL!!!! :deadhorse:
Just installing new stock spring packs and zero-rates woudn't be too expensive. Cutting corners on driveline/suspension doesn't turn out for the better.
I forgot to add that part also. You have to bleed the air out of the fuel system after changing filters. Ik I have air in my lines...the fuel filter base is leaking, but, it's been way to fricken cold to fix it. Hopefully in the next week or two.
RE: ice in eastern TN
:funny:
That's good. That much ice is about what forms on our cars after drive a block. LOL Here in the Milwaukee area we have gotten around 85 inches of snow this year (top ten snowiest winters for Milwaukee). There is no place to go with it anymore.
Mine does that too. It teases you...kinda starts and runs for 4-5 seconds then dies and it's almost like it's "flooded" like a carbureted gas engine.
I think it's just because it's cold. Try holding the accelerator down 1/2-3/4 down while cold starting (it says to do that on the visor starting...
I was just on GL and they have five or six 1009's in FL, GA, LA. (bidding starting in late March)
bkwudz, look under "Utility Trucks" There is a pretty nice looking '84 1009 68k mi. at Warner Robins AFB, GA. but like AJMBLAZER said don't know if they run.
www.craigslist.org might be a good...
Yeah I'd imagine bozor wouldn't drive it on roads too much.
Here in WI your technically illegal if the tires are more than 4 inches larger than stock and the suspension is more than 5 inches above stock specs (9 inches total height). A year ago I had a really nice M1008 w/ 8inch lift and 37...
Got any pics?? I have a 1008 and was thinking about putting a 2 in. lift.
As for your issue. I agree with ajmblazer. A new steering stabilizer wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Haha...no he didnt come up with that himself I've heard it before, but the old saying used to be "four-fifty air conditioning" for the old sedans back in the 60-70's. Oh and you don't need A/C...you have the little side vents by your feet...wear shorts, it works very well to cool you down up the...
I don't think you should have a problem at the DMV. I just registered it as a multicolored Chevy K30 diesel. It was registered without issue. But your DMV friend should make it nice and easy too.
I didnt have any problems with insurance or registration on mine. I live in Wisconsin and have Allstate. No questions asked. Although I got it last May.
