If you convert to 12 volt you can leave as is and not change anything if you like after you convert to 12 volt then the red wire is 12 volt not 24 so the relay will work as should anyways but some like to remove it. One less itam to fail!
the nsn number is listed on the sill plate on driver door post just below the door latch pin the 1008 is 2320-01-123-2671 and the 1028 is 2320-01-127-5077 if its not one of those I will have to look up the 1010 and 1031 not sure off top of my head !![thumbzup]
The door could have been changed? does the truck have over load springs? the best no question way would be to check the nsn number being its got a 208 in it I would think its not a 1031
You want the temp gauge in the front driver side you can remove the sender if you like that sending unit is for the temp light only the pass rear unit is the glow plug temp sender. the thermostat sensor side should point into the crossover pipe the stock on is 195 even then just put a new on...
as stated the kit from spring hill auto is the cheapest you will find I buy from them alot very nice peaple to deal with and ship fast the rectifyer and diod treo and regulater are the main fail parts the rest bearings and such are wear out parts look at it as you take it apart you will do great...
The part number from lmc you want is 30-2402 for left hand and 30-3403 for th right hand if you still need a pic let me know will get one for you the splash shield from lmc come with the clip's to mount them

Yes have done it for awhile. Have a friend that has one on 75% veg oil for about 3 years now gets it from resterants filters it in a system he has in his garage and puts it in his 1008 He has a 12volt fuel heater inline to heat it before it get to the engine but no problems the engine is alot...
Mine had the decomision papers in the glove box! decomisioned in july 92 for tail light short fuse burnt in fuse box do not operate. they pulled all the light out. I replaced the headlight swicth all the bulbs and have not had a problem NICE TRUCK !!!
I thin just what is needed to spray every paint is a little dif as is the gun and presure you spray at. I painted my 66 gmc long bed the whole truck and inside box with 1 gal. of paint + reducer. I would think 3 gals would paint the deuce! 2cents
:ditto: As stated YES its getting cold in your neck of the woods like mine so I would put some deisel in with it FREE is always good I strain my used oil and add 2 maybe 3 gals with about 6 or 7 gals of deisel every time with no problems. I slack up a bit now its getting colder but 7 qts and 4/5...
Forgot that! The vin# was wrong on all the paperwork even on the sill tag on the truck had 1GCGD on everything and the truck vin is 1GCHD they called me when I applied for sf97 said there was no such truck! LOL :cookoo:
