OK, here are some pics we took while and after bringing the M211 home. Had to get them to jerk her out of her spot against the fence, don't know if she just liked it there, or if the brakes locked up  Either way, the 2500 diesel couldn't get her to move til they got the wheels rolling...
I take it that is the lever in the photo sticking forward with the 'release'? I thought that was it, but wanted some expert advice. Thanks, rich!!!!
I gotta pick up an M211 Monday and tow it to the old homestead. My question is, I know where the gear shifter is, but aren't sure about the transfer case. Some ideas, but want to be certain. Maybe the pic will help with any descriptions.
Thanks ahead of time!!
Re: RE: battery
LMK if y'all want me to check with the local warehouse for some. They usually have them in stock. Not sure what the core charge is, but still lots lower than $150 per!!
Cool looking truck, reo! You'll get used to these fellows here being smart a**s soon enough. I am a reasonable newbie, too, but live with several of their ilk :cookoo: , and fit in right away!
RE: Class 4 receiver hitch
OK!! Ferro was trying to tell me I could just weld a triangle type mount to haul the water wagon (pontoon) with my M109A3. These look a LOT better, and will probably work a heckuva lot better, too!! :grd: Thank you all for the pics and info!!
RE: Who is going on the 2007 East Coast
Herc... its supposed to be the TRUCK not YOU :-D
OOPS! Sorry, mangy. Don't have any of the M109 yet, haven't picked it up. Will post some when it is home!!
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Who is going on the 2007 East Coast Conv
Hey, Ken
I am not sure which way we are going, that will be up to ferro. He is coming down to help with the driving. I95 is more direct, but we would miss the others. I'll let you know ASAP. I know I would rather have others for backup!!
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Who is going on the 2007 East Coast Conv
Yea! I tried to upload my pic from last Haloween, just to make y'all ill, and it wouldn't go no matter the size! And ferro is right, party at my truck!! Pick a nite, or come every nite, just don't expect us to supply ALL the liquid...

I don't care what they look like, as long as they get me into the BBQ!!! [thumbzup] Not only that, but ferro paid for mine already  Speaking of eating, you won't need a shirt to get into the chili nite, just chili or beer to share  No, before you ask, we don't have anything final on...
RE: Heres the pics- I almost forgot
Looks good! We are gonna make at least one of our M35A2's into a dump sooner or later. Right now we will settle for making an M105 into one! :grd:
Thanks for all the feedback!! Looks like I will be towing as-is. Adam will be 400 miles away, so help would be a little long-acomin'. Those pics were absolutely perfect! I will remove the extra tire before towing, and have all axles on singles.
maddawg, those aren't antennae, that is a wind chime hanging in the foreground! Anyway, we all can't wait til ferro and family move here so we can store some of his MV OD iron THERE for a change, instead of my backyard [thumbzup] . Not that it bothers me, but it makes for an interesting time...
Hey, Tom. Just a note to let you know what we do. Ferro tows his 105 behind his Dodge 2500 with the tongue about 24". The trailer looks funny, with the tailgate almost above the roof, but it tracks well. Lowering the tailgate will definitely help your mpg, too. Slow and careful should get you...
Re: RE: Changing tires
Thanks for the offer, Joe, but I got roped into a 'practice' removing stumps once, and won't do any volunteering again!! That said, I have 2 that need breaking down, and I haven't done a split ring yet. Can I come by sometime and get a 'lesson'?
