    1st Deuce Project Begins

I couldn't resist taking the deuce to the local pizza shop for supper. My 6 month pregnant wife was waiting for her first ride so she came along too. I fixed a small gas leak by cutting off an inch of the line and putting on a new compression fitting (couldn't have done that in just a couple...

    1st Deuce Project Begins

Thanks everyone for the kind words. If you mean the spray on bed liner, it has been great. I've been told that 3M is a little better but I've been really happy with the duplicolor. It scratches off with some force but it's good enough that I painted the wheel wells and rockers on my 07 wrangler...

White it is. Yes, got my plate this week. Thank you again for all your help. I'll definitely hook you up with some spirits for the holidays.

    1st Deuce Project Begins

Looking through pics on here I think I've decided in white stars. I'll save the black ones for my next truck. It'll be year or more down the road but I'm definitely going to have a bobbed deuce or 5 ton. I feel confident enough to take on bobber project now that I've managed to get this one all...

    1st Deuce Project Begins

Here are a few quick pictures from this afternoon. I'm gonna finish a few things up and take some with my wifes camera next week. Still dirty from sitting in my garage being worked on for the past year. The couple rides blew some of the dust off. My friend drove it a couple miles. Took my...

    1st Deuce Project Begins

Haven't been on here for awhile. Got a lot done in the past few weeks. Registered and Insured finally. Painting is all complete except for touch ups on some bolts and here and there on the underside. Replaced the rad hose behind the oil filters. Why I didn't do it when I had everything...

Deuce Wiper Upgrade Knurled End & Screw

I finally got my deuce done and ready for the road. Plates came yesterday. I went to put the wipers on since I've had them off since tearing everything done. Noticed the knurled cap and the screw to hold it on are missing from the end of the wiper shaft. I have the upgrade kit I bought from OD...

Need Pictures of Vietnam Era Deuce w/soft top & No Winch

Thanks. I think they want them to be straight on from sides, front, and back. Hate to waste 2 more weeks if they don't like these.

Need Pictures of Vietnam Era Deuce w/soft top & No Winch

I'm running into problems with the PA DMV. They won't except the pictures of my deuce for antique registration because I don't have a soft top top put on it and I don't have time or funds to get one right now. Just have my beat up frame and part of a top. Other than that my deuce is mint with...

Thanks. Still a lot to do. Getting married on Tuesday in Key West, but I think I can still finish by the 2nd week in July.

    Truck won't start

I'd bleed the air on the fuel system once you check out the shutoff rod. I ran into the same problem and it was air in the lines.

    1st Deuce Project Begins

Took her across the street for a couple of short rides to test out the clutch and brakes. Everything is working good. Had a small coolant leak from the rear of the intake. The clamp was a little loose and I overfilled it after the last flush. All good now it seems. I'm gonna check it out...

    1st Deuce Project Begins

Here are some quick shots after finally getting done flushing the radiator and block. Starting to come together. Looks like the back yard is dry enough to get the bed up on the trailer and start painting tomorrow. Got to get this thing done so we can paint my father in laws '94 YJ to match in...

    1st Deuce Project Begins

Thanks for the compliments. Green cordura would be perfect. I was thinking vinyl or canvas, not sure why I didn't think of cordura. That stuff takes abuse pretty good. I'll get some measurements tomorrow and see what I would need. The battery box took a little time for us to figure out. But...

The bobbed A3 worked out nice in the memorial day parade

Looked great. Wish I would had mine done for the 3 local parades. Guess it'll be next year.

    1st Deuce Project Begins

Still moving along. Got the radiator back in now that it has been fixed. Started on the windshields. The hood is in place. Just some finishing touches up front. Hopefully we can get the bed painted this week. I think it's looking real good. Had some nasty thunderstorms that made our creek...

    1st Deuce Project Begins

Leaving both rears in place. Love to have a bobbed truck, but Im waiting for a 5 ton to do that. I'm considering putting my girls green wrangler in the back of the deuce for the show. Wonder if they'll let me run the obstacle course with it strapped down in the back.:-D:-D:-D
