Anyone have one or know of a place where I can buy one of the air scoops like pictured in this post. Is there a part number so I can check with Saturn (there fairly close by). Did a search but this post was about the best one I came up with.
Removed the dash gauge panel and pulled the wire harness out of the cab tonight. Labeled all the wires as I disconnected them. Got to work three 12 hour shifts starting Friday night. Might have the cab off Monday or Tuesday. Will be sure to post pics as it comes off. Still not sure about...
In my searching this seems to be the best way to do it, albeit a little pricey.
There are also some posts about using older 22.5" ford rims. Much easier time finding tires. UPS delivery truck rims are supposed to work good too but apparently they send everything to the crusher before you can...
Those are some of the better looking non military color M35s I've seen. I'm still partial to green though. Is the A3 blue or all black? Can't tell on my pos laptop.
Your Deuce looks great. Your swaying me towards the 24087. Did you thin the paint? I was worried about 24087 being too glossy but it looks perfect in your pics. 24087 vs 34052  hmm... I can't decide
Thanks for posting pics. I can't wait to find an M37 of my own and do the same type of frame off resto. The boss said an M37 is a go if I can find a decent one for a good price. Now to finish the deuce and make room. I'm gonna watch your progress... as always, the more pics the better.
Even though I'm putting in all the time redoing my deuce it isn't going to just sit in the garage. I plan to 4 wheel it hard and there are a bunch of hauling tasks it's going to be used for. That's the main reason I'm thinking flat paint over semi gloss.
I need to figure out what color this thing is going to be. Its USMC Lusterless Forest Green or Semi Gloss OD 24087. I can't find many good pics of a deuce in USMC Lusterless Forest Green. I like the idea of being able to touch up the flat pain but I'm worried it'll stain easy and look like...
The weekend jobs are out there. Just gotta spend 3-4 years in RN school.;-) Definitely the hardest schooling I've ever gone through. But well worth it when it's all done.
I definitely should have some cribbing under the frame or axles. I was just at a local shop that has some railroad ties...
I've been a Colemans a few times. Do they let you browse the "junkyard"? I've only been in the main retail area. I could use a deuce tool box in decent shape. If you see one, let me know. I'll be going up sometime before Christmas. It's only about a 45 min drive for me.
Lucky for me I have a lot of free time. I work a "Baylor" schedule as a registered nurse. I work two 12 hour shifts per week (7p-7a) and get paid the equivalent of full time with part time benefits. It sucks to work every Friday and Saturday night with only 3 weekends off per year, but my...
My roomate is away at school for his mastertech this week so I'm continuing on with needle scaling since it's annoyingly loud for other people in the garage. Almost got done with the front drivers side. No exciting pics to post. Pulling the cab will have to wait until next week. Gotta get...
Do you need a bed? I have a bed off of my deuce in decent shape for $200.
Can't wait to see your truck. Please post pics ASAP. My next big truck is going to be a 5 ton. Hopefully an 818.
I haven't seen any local so far but I think I'm going to hold out for something closer. Maybe within a 100 miles. I didn't expect to find many for under $2000 but it sounds like they are out there. Anybody in PA/De/NY/MD area got one for sale?
I've been browsing for an M37 for my father in law. Ive got the green fever and figure I might as well pass it on. He would love to get an M37 but I don't see his wife letting him spend 5 grand or more on a ready to go truck. I'd like to find something in decent shape that we could work on...
