Rolled the herculner on inside the cab. Came out about like I expected. Not too sure I'll use it in my wrangler, but it's pretty good for the deuce. Headed out to see what I can get done today.
This is the biggest vehicle I've ever worked on and basically the first vehicle I've took apart and reassembled to this extent. I've had no real automotive education, just watching and learning from friends that know what they're doing. I think I know more about this deuce than I've known...
Here are a couple shots with my iphone from today. Not the best quality I know. Started putting the new wire harness on, running what air lines I can and connecting things in the engine compartment. I herculined the whole inside of the cab yesterday. Going to paint seat frames, air filter...
The cab is back on and the new wire harness is beginning to get hooked up. Going to be slow since I have to paint all these little pieces as they go on and figuring out what new bolts I need to buy.
Haven't posted in awhile, but things have progressed a little. I bought another jeep and had to work on that a bit to get it offroad worthy. Here are some pics.
I haven't seen this vehicle mentioned anywhere on the site. Too bad it will probably never go into production. I would buy one in a split second. What's everyones opinion?

Well, guess I'm going to head to Saturn tomorrow morning for a puller. It'll come in handy when I get the next deuce anyway. Saturn is only about a 40 min drive.
What do I call these parts when I go and rent them? I've got the puller but I need something to go around the steering shaft to grab onto. What about the horn wire. Can I pull the wheel without ruining the horn wire?
Welcome to the site. Great to see another PA member. There are a lot of PA guys on here. Have you gone for a ride in a deuce yet. I'm sure there is someone close by that would gladly take you for a ride and let you look things over. Just post in the forums and you'll get tons of replys...
I too wish I had that sandblasting setup. I've spent a couple days using a needle scaler to clean up my frame. Saves money on sand but it's a heck of a lot more labor and time. I look forward to seeing this truck when it is back together. Thanks for posting the pics and keep them coming. I...
Excellent, this is exactly the kind of posts I'm looking for. I'm definitely gonna do something like this for the fuel tank. I'm restoring the deuce and adding some custom touches but want to keep it looking mostly mil spec. Keep the pics coming.:-D:-D
Has anyone built any type of skid plates for the deuce? Front, rear, under batts, under tool box, whatever... I've used the search but didn't find too much. Are skid plates even worth while since there is so much clearance. I'd like to see some pics to get ideas for what could be added. My...
