I did not have the time to go get these so I used AMAC Logistics to deliver these. They used Capital City Hauling out of Columbia, SC (803-786-4777) to deliver these. The hard top they drove on the truck after a jump but it would not start for me. The soft top winch has never been unwound...
I won two Deuces from GL in SC a few weeks ago. Finally got them yesterday, they are a little rough but they will do fine. The first one is the rougher one but it has new tires all around on it. The hard top is in great shape, just needs some batteries. What you think?
I got my first Deuce from John and I am usally there at least once and month for parts. Really good person to deal with, I recommned him unquestionably!
I saw the Comet episode last night, really neat stuff. The mechanics knew what they were doing and much of the history associated with the tank. Tuesdays at 20:00 (08:00 PM) on the History Channel. Here is a link:

I know what you mean about the pity meter and as a former soldier vets have/get my full respect: NO QUESTION! My main issue is that (and thank God no one did) people can get hurt. I am sure he is feeling alot worse than you are. You can be a big man and talk to him (once you cool down), I am...
That does suck but we have all been there! We all are proud of our military toys and we like to see them work but we also must realize that these were not made for everyone. I use the motto when it comes to my truck: if you need it, I will help! Sorry to hear about the wich and cable. Look at...
I think I found a fording kit but it has no instructions and I am not sure if all the parts are there (the box was broken). Can anyone provide a parts list or installation instructions? Please and thanks in advance.
RE: Re: RE: cable price
I know of heavy offroaders that have gotten 5 plus years out of there Amsteel winch cables. It is exspnesive but it is far safer and easier to use as compared to wire rope.
You are right on the Hi Lift, they are on the light side. I merely use to get the bumper and frame to begin moving so I can get access to under the frames or axles. I also use these to prop up a bumper to lift a tire to "drive" over the jack. Just old school 4 Wheeler who feels like the Hi Lift...
I use a High Lift stick jack, bottle jacks and blocks of wood. The High Lift is there for extra security and mud use. I use 4x4 and 6x6 blocks of wood that I collect at construction sites.
IMHO: I am in no way an expert here, so I will tread lightly! I too needed an inverter and looked at these on Ebay. As always, I am never satisfied to look once and buy so I began to "Google" research it. I ended up buying from a company (the link is below) in Wilmington, NC. I am in Raleigh, NC...
This is just more for extra insurance, the "in case" factor. I do some off roading but I just wanted the be able to enter deep water or "unkknown water depth" locations.
