I didnt think you wanted anyone to know I was at your house ed. Thanks for all the help. Now you have some more room to get more trucks.
I made it 670 miles today to vandalia, il. I have 490 to go.
I should be at 70 75 around 1 or so.
I should be at 70 75 tomorrow. Last time I made the trip, I stayed in joppa, Missouri. I am not as heavy this time, so im hoping to get past St Louis today.
My dad owns Geauga Lake Auto on 44. I grew up in mantua. Im on 40 about a hundred miles from Oklahoma City. Im takin 40 to 44 then 70 to 75 and either the turnpike or route 2 ending up in Huron. I will let you know the next time I'm at my parents house.
I will post more pics from the...
I am driving from Las Cruces to Ohio again. I did the same trip four years ago. Work sent me back a year later and I bought another deuce and later a 1008. They have been sitting for a few years, but now they are headed home.
I made it to Elk City, Oklahoma today. So far all is well. I...
Im leaving tomorrow. Repacking the bearings took too long to get everything else done. I have to make an alcohol snifter, so my brakes don't freeze too. Im going 70 to Amarillo, then 40 to 44, to 70, and 75.
If anyone is along that route let me know.
Voy a tratar. I drove 100 miles today on a parts run, then adjusted the brakes. One seal was bad one not so good. We are repacking all 4 to be safe. The truck runs just under 60 mph around 2300 rpms, which it seems to like. I ran 2400 but it gets loud and hot. I did the same trip 4 years...
I tried to balance the front tires today. The truck shop wouldn't touch them. I got some beads, but haven't had it on the road yet. I will be packing the rear bearings tomorrow.
I am in las cruces now. I put a heater in the deuce today. I need to put a pinon seal in the 1008 tomorrow. My sister in law is riding up with me. She has only ridden on the troop seats for a short trip to the park down the road. Im planning on leaving on the second and heading north NM, OK.
I will be flying to El Paso, TX on 12/28 to pick up my 1008 then driving to Las Cruces. I need to do a few days work on the deuce, then I am heading north around the first. If anyone wants anything moved let me know. Both trucks will be empty. I don't have a set route. I can go north...
Before I moved from El Paso to Ohio, I dumped all my waste hydrocarbons in my tank. I made the trip, but I would use the thinners to cut a heavy oil.
My dad owns a body shop and when I was a kid I had to clean all the bondo off the paddles with thinner. It made my hands crack. I am...
I have a limited slip in my Bronco and Open front in my Toyota. Both have true lockers in the rear. Having an open or limited slip front helps prevent breakage. If you have only one front tire with traction it really stresses the internals.
If I can't make an obsticle on the first time...
Here are some pics of trees I loaded on my trailer today. I am using a Warn 9k winch with an Interstate deep cycle battery. The battery was running low on the last log.
I know I need a new cable. It started to unravel today.
I run a Warn 9000 lb winch with a 12v deep cycle battery. You will have no trouble loading a broken down vehicle on a trailer before the battery dies. I use mine when I cut down trees. After pulling a few downed trees to the clearing, it is time for a recharge.
Gas Buggy Commercial Applications
My dad has a salvage yard and he uses the gas buggy. He uses the reclaimed gas in his rollback (460 Ford) and Michigan loader (swapped in smallblock Chev). He keeps a new filter in the glove box of the rollback. Sometimes the cars sit for several years...
