I now know that I get 13-14. I did a short 100 mile test this weekend :driver: That's a nice truck that is in this thread.... :-D

    Bobbed deuce is finished

I'm stacking up tubing and pipe now to build the exo-skeleton and bed. Should be started on it all this evening. I chopped the driver side tool box off last night, and will be moving the tank and batteries to the rear of the truck up nice and high. I also got to looking, and i'm going to...

    Bigler boyz bobbed deuce

That's very good then! The first people I heard speaking of bobbed units were saying an average around 10! 14 sure makes a Bobbed one very desirable over a full-version!!

New Bobbed Deuce owner in Scottsdale, AZ

    Bigler boyz bobbed deuce

Really nice truck!! A friend called me last night, and was asking questions on deuces. He claimed yours got 14 miles per gallon!!!! SO, after checking into the ebay ad, and seeing the 14 mpg claim myself, you'll have to let us know the hidden secret on this one!?!?!?!

A few questions about speed and gearing

Not being a smart *** here, but bob it, and you'll be VERY impressed!! Install 395's, turn your IP pump up a little, and you'll be running around town wanting to race the other 4x4's LOL!!! [thumbzup]

    Looking for a 6x6

Yep, the 5-tons will get you looked at QUICKLY by the DOT in your state. You WILL need a CDL to operate it on the streets. You might can get away with it for a little while, until seen by the State Man ;-)

    Looking for a 6x6

I second all that jollyroger has said. Parts are plentiful for the A2's, and they are time-proven and VERY durable.

    Looking for a 6x6

I'm going to make a few people upset, but hey!! It's my opinion! Get a Bobber'! I've owned several trucks, A2's, A3's with the Cat, 5-tons and Gasser bridge trucks, and believe me, if you drive someone's bobber after riding in a full-size deuce, you'll get one!! Whatever you DO...

    Bobbed deuce is finished

That's how I look at it as well. When I completely finish this one, i'll be removing the center axle from the next deuce, and build me a quad-cab 4x4 deuce with the M105 trailer bed on rear, AC, Insulated cab, etc, etc. :-P

    Bobbed deuce is finished

With the rear "dished out", it had a wider track, and I didn't really care for the look. Having flipped my hubs and running the stock wheels "dished in", the rear will now track the same as the front, and have a nice even look to the truck.

    Bobbed deuce is finished

Maybe i'm just lucky, but i've had no inner fender scrub or drag link rub/scrub. Here's a video of my "Yeti" in action.... and you can see the frame twist and the rear driver tire lifting 8)

    Bobbed deuce is finished

I wanted to add just a few thoughts about this project soo far. I've ran a few different tread patterns, and besides the original NDCC's, the best tire soo far all around to me has been the XML's. These are 395's, and I ran them before the Bob also. I sold my set of 6 on stock deuce...

    Bobbed deuce is finished

Took these pics tonight just after the hub flip. I will start the Exo tomorrow. I used the stock front drive shaft, and i'm VERY happy with the length!!! It will turn on a dime compared to stock! And it will outrun a few trucks running around here on take off!!!:grin::grin:

    Bobbed deuce is finished

I'm building a custom recovery bed with a 20,000 lb pto winch. I own a towing and recovery service so the truck came in handy, but now it's my everyday driver!! [thumbzup] I'm going to exo-skeleton the truck (like a brush fire truck) to help keep from bending/denting it up. I took it...

    Bobbed deuce is finished

We got our first bob job finished on our deuce and now have installed the New Michelin 395 XML's. Today we're flipping the hubs to run the stock rims all dished in. :-) I'm trying to upload a few pics.....
