I took the Ferret to the Hot Springs, Ar. Veterans parade and had a great time. Always a pleasure to show support to current and former military personnel.
Replaced the alternator and compressor belts
Replaced the radiator.
Ordered a new fuel nozzle for the manifold heater.
Lubed all the front wheel/steering stuff.
Bought an M72 Law tube to hang off the bumper at MV shows.
I finally got around to checking my brake fluid and saw it was green, not what I expected.
I took a little out and dropped it in some water and it did not mix, just floated around in little blobs so I know it's silicone based but what is it and can it be mixed with DOT 5 (Purple)?
Thanks for any info on this.

Hi TJ,
Yes, I'm taking the deuce. I was planning on going Thursday afternoon and camping out Thursday and Friday Night.
I could hold off until Friday morning if you could make it then.

I need to win the lottery so I can buy it for him.
Best friends Dad had an L-4 based at the now closed Saginaw airport north of Ft. Worth.
We used to go out and fly around the DFW area whenever possible.
This was in the late 80's, early 90's.
Longest trip was to Barksdale AFB to be in an airshow.
Attended several smaller shows locally.

Pyrometer
Got my pyrometer installed. ISSPRO R3607TR-AT 12v wired to one battery with a toggle switch for power.
Installed right in front of the turbo.
I had already turned up the fuel after bypassing the FDC which was dumping fuel into the crankcase.
700-900 degrees pushing it on fairly flat...
I need to remove a pine tree that's about 2' in diameter to make room for the new garage. Since I need to remove the root ball as well as the tree, I thought about putting the winch cable about 30' up for leverage and commence to pulling. Think it will work? Got any tips?
Thanks
I think they are supposed to limit pressure to around 70 psi and since mine was going to 100 I figured it must be bad.
I replaced it with a new one from Memphis Equipment. No more 100 psi.
It ended up I had two problems. The pressure regulator was bad but that was an easy fix. Then after a while I figured out the fuel density compensator went bad as well and dumped fuel into my oil. I bypassed the FDC, drained the oil/fuel mix (7.5 gallons), put in fresh oil and now all is well at...
