I just turned my CTIS off using the controller in the cab and all my "leaking" issues stopped. I manually adjust pressure by the valve stems on the wheels and all seems to be OK.
I bought the CAT filters for my A3 and they were less than $40.00 with tax didn't seem to spendy, that was Oil and Fuel. I also ot the High Efficiency versions which were a few bucks more each.
I bought the Napa 5 gal's Dexron III (made by Valvoline) used approx 1 1/2 buckets, I was doing my Deuce at the same time so qty's are a little vague.
Attached doc on the filter numbers I have so far.
Why so grumpy today? Besides the thread as linked in the above post wasnt even titled HEMTT or M1074 and was from the wrong date originally.
Also as a moderator you get to see everything all day, us casual users might miss something every once in a while...
I don't think the tan will up the price as he paints the whole truck green as a base coat and then adds the black and tan on top, so the base coat would cover the tan, he didn't do my interior as it didn't need it, but I am sure it can be done.
I would change the fuel filter it is less than 20 bucks if I remember correctly form CAT, it is spin on so easy a caveman could do it.
Then before running I would drain the old diesel out (there is a drain plug directly under the fuel tank) then dump in some fresh Diesel.
This will take less...
Anybody see what the HEMTT - PLS's out of South Carolina finished out yesterday for? I was watching them and they were over $40k already but didn't see the final prices.
Oh BTW forgot to add, in my "early" days before finding SS etc. I naively called Maaco to see what they would charge
Well of course they couldn't do the camo or CARC but if I wanted to have the whole truck painted a solid color like a civvy version it was going to be $7000!:shock:
Well it is a bit of a moving target because there are 2 options on paint and then it also depends on how much prep your truck needs. He starts at about $1000 to $1100 for CARC with minimal prep. I think you can save a couple of hundred bucks if you go with a substitute CARC.
Mine needed some...
I was real lucky on the truck, it only has 2800 miles and about 100 hours on it.
it was overhauled at the end of 2008, yes the tires are 1400's they are brand new so I will have them for a while. 1600's would be interesting but I would be worried about killing the power.
