**** that looks good. I would like to know more about the sleeper used. I wonder if I could get a "walk in" style of sleeper that size. Or, I also wonder what all would be involved in modifying one.
That is what I meant. I think the big three OEM's at the time were using this set up for the trucks with in cab tanks. In my unproffessional oppinion I think it looks pretty universal.
I to beleive it is an aftermarket assembly that the OEM's at the time used. I never beleived it was a Chrysler manufactured thing. It was however an option thought them though. If I remember correctly it is even on the biuld sheet I have. I found a site that mentioned them. They were focussed on...
I have the stock in cab tank and the aux tank is under the bed. They are both fed from the same fill tube. There is a split for the aux tank. It is a pretty neat set up. But this parts hunt has gotten on my nerves. I am nto about to give up and do away with the aux tank. I spoke to a local parts...
I was lokking at that the other day. The peice of metal the window is bolted to bolts in and can be removed easily. So I can take that whole section out with having to cut anything. As far as the seats, I have a frined who has two brand new and never instaled air ride seats for a smaller truck...
The aux tank makes it worse. It was a special order item in 72 and is not that common. I wish I knew who made the tank. At least I could try them and see if they can help me. You would think stock steel rims would be easy to come by. Nope, I am going to have to figure out how to make a modern...
Thanks. I have not heard of MTP before.
Right now, to get the truck off the trailer I need a siphon assembly anf fuel guage sending unit for the auxillary tank. The get the truck on the road I need a set of stock rims from the 70's. The have to be the earlier steel rims so the early model...
I do hope to get a CUCV at some point. I also agree that a stock deuce looks great. If I modify this one and if we can get on track money wise I think I would liek ot have another one later on that is all stock. From fresh green paint down to the stock NDT's. But this truck will serve many...
That is kind of what I had in mind. What kind of truck is that?
That is a much nicer sleeper than I was thinking. If it is in good shape all over that is a very good deal. I wonder how my cab would fit it.
Is it a coghin style sleeper? If it was just my wife and I would agree that a sleeper would be a btter choice. But I am concerned with having seating room for our five year old. And it would be nice to use it has a place to rest while on the road as well. In a since, I would like to turn it into...
That is very true. I think the best thing for me to do is pull the bed all together and do the cab mods. When that is complete I set the bed back on and see what I can do with it. So now the question is, what am I to do with the cab?
That is very realistic. But I want to avoid making the truck any longer. Although, I have been out there taning measurements and I think I might reconsider that.
