My flexplate will be replaced soon, new part laying in the garage. If I should happen to get to this before you do, I will share pictures. It does not seem difficult. I'm sure it wil be easier than the flywheel on the 6Speed z28 that I changed last.
My advice to the OP. Let it stay parked for a week or so and don't even think about repairing it. Let the frustration pass, and see where you stand with it later.
The engine swaps are well documented and not that difficult. Which, by your post I'm guessing you know. Also, I have seen 6.2s sell...
Im also at a loss with the term skipping used here. Do you mean intermittent rotational interruption while starting? Maybe you mean its attempting to fire, but won't quite light? Let us know. The TMs mentioned can be found in my signature.
Make sure the starter support bracket is in place...
I frequently run 50-60 actual mph (gps verified, spedo not corrected for tire size). I have run as fast as 70 mph for 30 minutes. Anything over 55 mph for very long is rare. No increased vibration at the higher speeds.
To clarify, I run the 37" radials. Not the older 36" HMMWV tires which are...
I actually did not have mine balanced at all. The only notable vibration I get is after the truck is parked for a while. After a few miles the flat spots are gone. I took them to a shop to be mounted. No trouble at all.
My factory GM wheels are only 6.75" wide. I have been very pleased with this setup for my needs. The HMMWV radials have been impressive at their price.
One thing about the skinny wheels is that with very low tire pressure, less than 10#, the tire deflects (sqats) very little. This makes it...
Increased Voltage reduces the Resistance. This also reduces the heat generated, or energy lost in the circuit. This is one reason AC transmission lines are at such a high kV.
Resistance= Voltage/Current
It is my understanding that the Temp Sensor's resistance will vary based on it's temperature.

I do not know what the high idle solenoid's resistance should measure (mine is defective).
For driving any distance Im curious if it would have a negative impact on a warm engine: would EGTs get too high, would it stress the rotating assembly etc? Personally I would only do this as a very last resort, or not at all. You wouldn't want to kill the engine in addition to the already...
When you say temporarily, how long-Minutes, hours?
Out of curiosity, why are you after a temporary advance? You can also advance by rotating the DB2 at its 3 mounting bolts.
You said it holds the RPM high. If it has failed it seems that it would not activate the high idle at all, like mine. However, it may be possible that it can fail as high, or no function.
Be careful killing the battery cranking, you may kill the starter. Remember to do the Doghead relay mod, this is a very common point of failure for the CUCVs.
