If you have access to an oil extractor, like my Pella, you could pull it out the trans dipstick tube. This is how I do topside oil changes on the TDi. Very clean, and contained.
WMO lubricates far better than the ULSD. Burning it (filtered) saves on fuel cost since it's free.
My conversion for speed/ distance is about 115% of what my odometer is displaying.
Ex: 55 mph displayed*1.15 = 63.25mph actual.
10 miles displayed*1.15 = 11.5 actual
Mine as it sits now on 37s gets about 16.5 on the highway @ ~55 mph. On stock tires I was getting about 1.5 mpg higher highway, but with a much lower top speed due to gearing. Also, I rarely burn straight diesel, and almost always mix in WMO or 2 Stroke oil.
+1 on this comment. If it's rubber it will probably need to be replaced, and they are cheap. My stabi bar was missing all but 1. Drag link same condition.
Factory GM / old Ford wheels have worked great for me. They can be found cheap because of the age, and diameter. I'm not crazy about spacers, but they will work.
Removed and reinstalled the power steering pump pulley. This allowed me to reinstall a bracket bolt that had backed all the way out and was trapped behind the pulley.
No more rattle!
As many have said they can be had for a lot cheaper. Two of mine would not hold air when I got them, but have worked great after being patched. This can help get the price down even more. Price is the main reason I went with this tire.
If the only symptom is noise, I wouldn't worry. Post a video of the noise if you can. Don't worry about the 2 stroke oil, they love that. I just got finished running 2gallons in a tank...runs great!
I have a water pump and thermostat if you are interested. New in box, both AC Delco. I had to wait a week (last month) for it to ship from Rock Auto. I had play in the pump shaft that was actually caused by the fan clutch, not the water pump. PM me if interested. Price negotiable.
Mine sometimes shifts so hard when making a turn from a stop it will bark the tires shifting into 2nd. This surprised me with the 37s, it must be a pretty strong shock load for the drivetrain. Its smooth once warm, and always smooth into 3rd.
I may have to look into the filter or additive...
I drove my 1008 back home in stock form for 4 hours and got 18mpg. Of course this was 50-53 mph with few stops. I filled up before I left, and when I got home. The fuel gauge dropped slow enough it made me think the sending unit was broken. I never expected above 15 out of it.
I have not...
I'm running a drop pittman with the Hummer radials on 4" lift. Check out the link in my signature for details. In the end, for me, it came down to how much money I wanted to spend.
Welcome to the forum!
My front battery tested at 350 CA last week before I replaced it, the rear 950. I now have two group 31s that I got from Interstate. 1 for $44 as a blemish battery. The blem put out 1100 CA at 10.5V. The starter speed on a cold morning is greatly improved with this pair of batteries.
