I would get a car cover then request a search warrant if they return and want to look under it.
Stay patient with this situation, I know it would be challenging for me.
Here is a little more information. My M1008 continues to blow white under load when warm. I will be pulling the injectors soon for inspection and testing. Based on what you have said I do not think you have anything to be concerned with (right now) ;).

Welcome to the Forum!
These trucks can be reliable. Just remember they are all 20+ years old. You probably won't be able to start driving it every day without a few new parts. It will probably need special attention on anything that is rubber. Make sure the electrical system is in could shape...
I had the same wire fail on my truck, I went with a 2ga. as well. Mine would lose continuity, but only under load. The way I eventually found it was by it getting hot to the touch. Otherwise, I may still be looking for it. I never had any melting.
It's possible that the wire becomes faulty...
I received the flexplate from Saturn Surplus. I have 1 bad spot that finds my starter every couple of months. One day I will attack this little project.
Zout makes a good point. I will say that I have found myself using a Dewalt 1/2" impact a lot lately at work over the pneumatics. They are somewhat pricey, but don't require compressors, hoses etc and are cordless which is great outside of the shop. The particular model im talking about is a...
Also, if you are rebuilding the Hydrobooster I would love to see all the pictures your willing to post. I have (one day) got to rebuild mine. It has slowly been leaking for a long time now.
Try this link with pdf, it appears the tabs bend away from the spring.

A Gallon low, thats substantial. What alerted you to check the level? Do you know where the oil went? I'm guessing it was burned since that would leave a massive oil slick in the driveway.
My quest for lower rpms came in the form of $75/pc Hummer radials. If I were not so cheap I would have went with the NV4500 manual.
Don't get me wrong I love the 1008. However, I would probably buy an older 12v Cummins truck with AC before I dumped money in an aftermarket overdrive system the...
It could be possible that in very cold weather it helps increase lubrication by raising the engine oil temp closer to that of the radiator when running. If using a coolant style block heater it may exchange heat to the oil in the radiator as well when the engine is shutdown.
I have nothing to...
I have had my 1008 for 2 years. The engine oil cooler ports were capped off at the filter base and radiator when I purchased it. I have towed to full gross in the Winter, and the Summers exceed 100F here rolling the 37" Hummer Radials. It has never ran hot, lost power, or seen a temp. light...
