replaced flywheel and torque converter.... new noise when i shift between gears

This was an initial concern of mine as well when I got my 1008. I originally thought it was a problem. I know this may not apply to the Gov Lock, but does on the Detroit locker. The lower the diff gear, the more shaft rotation you will have before the wheels turn...

replaced flywheel and torque converter.... new noise when i shift between gears

Check the condition of your transmission mount. I have several engine, trans, body, etc. rubber mounts that are shot. Most of the rubber has broken down to the point that it does very little to dampen anymore.

    NO power at all!!

I recently had the batt. cable that runs from front batt. + to Rr batt. - fail. It would carry voltage and continuity, but not under load. Start very simple and eliminate the easy things. Assume nothing, verify every thing no matter how minute.

Does anyone have a pic of a properly installed gear reduction starter bracket?

I have removed my starter a few times and never needed to remove the shaft. My truck is lifted 4". Be careful and don't let it fall and hit you, the 27mt like mine are heavy.

Cold Starts, Glow Plugs Relay Cycling, Some Experiance Needed

Very good. Thanks for the update. It may have already been mentioned, but the GP resistor bypass is a good thing to do. There are many threads here. With all of your plugs no good, this may have come into play.

Who is running wvo/wmo in there cucv?

Many do with success and savings. There is a ton of intel here on this topic. Below are a few things that come to mind. I would go no higher than 40% WMO, dropping by 10-20% for the winter depending on your location. If engine looses power or has hard starting, reduce WMO% and run straight...

Metal oil cooler lines, possible fix, what do you think/

Be sure to use line wrenches. Mine we like this too. I managed to get them off by cutting the metal line near (3 inches) the radiator. This removed the interferance between the fitting, and the line. Soak the fittings overnight with penetrating oil. What Will said above will work as well.

    broken starter bolt

Starter bolt torque will need to be considered, over / under torque of the bolts can cause a failure.

    broken starter bolt

I would say this is why the bolt broke. Yes, the part number has been posted here a few times. There are different brackets for the 27 Direct Drive and 28MT Gear Redux starters. I assume this is for a CUCV? -Adding your vehicle to your signature is helpful.

Question about adding an electric fuel pump

If your stock lift pump is healthy and keeps up with your Injection Pump now, then all the electric pump has to do is fill the leaks and prime at startup. IMO The pressure of both factory and electric pumps will combine and should be more than enough pressure.

    starter soleniod

Unless your connections came loose at the new relay I would say it's not related to the DH mod. There is information in the TMs about how to troubleshoot this condition. And they are free! The manuals are very good and will be the best source for information on where to start. If you get...
