I don't know what I was thinking and/or drinking when I wrote that statement. The CT/CVT assemblies are exactly the same for the MEP-002a's and the MEP-003a's There is a different one for the 400 Hz models vs. the 60 Hz models, but the 60 Hz 5 KW and 10 KW assemblies are the same.
I don't know what I was thinking when I posted that. I must have been drinking when I looked at the TM. The CT/CVT assemblies for the MEP-002a and MEP-003a are EXACTLY the same.
I believe unless you modify the wiring of the deuce, that the front markers only come on if you have the left switch in "park" These are not wired like a car, the front markers do not come on with the headlights or "parking lights" like a car would.
mine does the same thing about once a month or so. It automatically changes the e-mail notification to "no", then I have to go back in and manually changes them all back to "yes"
By the way gimp, what's with the pink car in your avatar??? Shelley get a new car for you?
Looks like I missed all of the excitement. I was at work last night when doghead called me asking if I had any info or help. I couldn't do much for them since my shift didn't end till midnight, but they were only about an hour from me. I'll be at work this afternoon when they are coming back...
you're welcome Acehigh. I'm glad to hear you got a runner!!!! If any issues arise with it, be sure to let us know and we'll try to get you back on track.
As to the spin-on kits....they are very nice to use! And I can have them ready to send out within a week of order (shop does pretty fast...
DH, I can appreciate the sentiments about having a neighbor with a loud generator. I guess I'm just spoiled in the fact that I have no neighbors! You've been to Kipman's farm...he has neighbors closer to him than I do. And at 600 feet (through trees) from the OP, I don't think the noise is...
The noise factor is relative. If your neighbors are that far away, I wouldn't spend the cash on it. I don't really think mine are that loud (neither has the ASK). When I'm running it and have the house buttoned up in the winter or have the A/C on in the summer, I can barely hear it. Who...
I hadn't though about that aspect. But if that happens I'll just have to come up with something to cure the situation.
In reality, what I'm hoping to do is to have remote outlet stations (along with the remote floodlights) so nobody has to be right against the trailer to have things plugged...
there isn't a FAQ section for the generators like there is for the deuce. But the TM's for both are in the resources section. The most informative TM for general data would be the -12 manual. for the 003a it is TM 5-6115-585-12, and TM 5-6115-584-12 for the 002a. Rough size of an 002a is...
Ferro,
I thought about that when I put the pipes in. It's hard to tell in the pictures but there as at least 8 to 10 inches of clearance before it get's to the tire. I'm sure it will get warm, but I don't think it will be hot enough to do any damage. When I do the test run and load bank it...
Well, today it was dry enough in my parking area to go out and finish up the major work on the lube trailer/generator trailer conversion.
I drilled the hole and mounted the new oil pressure gauge bracket, and plumbed up the gauge.
I also got out the hole saws and drilled through the deck and...
Gary,
I don't think the exhaust hoses will affect the power at all. The OEM pipes that are on the generator are 1 1/4" pipe threads, and this is a 1 1/4" hose. And they are only 3 feet long. Once they pop through the deck, they will have a short nipple on them and a 90 with another nipple...
Got to do some more work on the generator trailer today. Even though the ground was way too wet to get under the trailer to finish it up, I only have about an hour or an hour and a half of work to do still. Then I'm ready to throw the cover back on it. After that, I'll have to "fine tune" the...
A warm welcome from Cambridge Ohio here. Driving one around for fun is have the enjoyment of owning one. I've used mine as a grocery getter before. And made hauling runs with it as well. It's a very versatile machine. Once you find one you will have a blast with it.
Honestly,
If you have absolutely none of the canisters at all, you would be better off to just get 2 spin on filter bases and buy 2 modern spin-on fuel filters (at least one of them having water separating capability) and go that route.
Unless you're looking for authenticity, in which case we...
now that's odd. That shift lever is a pretty beefy hunk of steel. I'm surprised it could snap off like that. It's hard to tell by the pic, but it looks like a pretty clean break too.
Congrats on the smooth recovery, and the fine looking truck.
Call me crazy, but I kind of like the contrast of the desert wheels and the camo truck. :cookoo:
