Well Lloyd, I was standing beside the trail on that muddy "stepped" hill climb at the '09 Rally when you were driving up with John in the passenger seat...I can see why he would say that. Especially riding with you ...you were giving that hill some serious he!!.
Need a pick-up at Ft McCoy Wisconsin...Please!
Hey all,
I was lucky enough to acquire a couple of sets of floodlights at Ft McCoy in Wisconsin today. I really need someone to pick them up for me and hold onto them until after the holidays or possibly get them closer to Ohio.
Driving up to...
good points moleary, but we're not talking about a whole tank of 90w here....we're dealing with about 1 1/2 gallons from his tranny. Put it in your tank of diesel and run it!!!!!
mineral oil is a product of petroleum, yes it's thick, but if you strain it first (get the chunks out...a good filtering would be best) and mix it with some diesel to thin it out, it'll burn just fine...
burn baby burn!!!
Welcome aboard. This is the place to be if you have a MV addiction problem like these others guys do...myself, I can quit anytime I want to.
I do have to agree with Wreckerman and glcaines, the GA rally is great fun. This past October was my first time there, but it will most...
Personally, I use the "New Posts" button all the time. There is no need to replace anything in the shortcut banner, just add another button up there that takes you to the classified section.
good point.
No, you do not need a license to go the these auctions....they are ONLINE auctions. You don't go to government surplus auctions any more. GL has the DOD contract to surplus the equipment and they do it via online auctions.
That is a nice score on the gen and trailer. Congrats.
Like dh said, the only covers that are available for them is the ASK...the panels look like they have insulation in/on them to absorb the sound...they also make the unit look like a big box. I don't think they look all that nice with the...
not a clue on the new motor...maybe find a used one at a salvage yard.
Until you check the "low" speed resistor out, I would not just to any conclusions...LOL
As far as manuals go TM 9-2320-361-34 page 2-31 covers the winterization kit's and the troubleshooting of them (these troubleshooting...
If you had smoke....it should have had a distinct smell to it of the burning windings if it was the blower motor. There is no fuse, just an auto-reset breaker on the firewall. From the sounds of it, your blower is toast...I could be wrong though
There is also the possibility that if you were...
Rick,
I'll go out here in a bit and snap a picture of the trailer data plate for you. These units have 2 data plates...one is on the trailer and one is on the lube unit itself. You are correct that the bare weight is around #2800, but the Gross weight is around #7800 (#5000 payload)
Here is...
Welcome to the addiction....er, I mean forum :-D, from just east of Cambridge.
Consider yourself warned...MV's are like Layes potato chips...no-one can have just one!!!!!
for temps that cold, I would think a heating pad for the batteries would be a must have item...All the fuel stabilizer and oil pan heaters in the world ain't gonna help you a bit if the batteries are frozen.
I keep a magnetic oil pan heater on my tractor for the wintertime...it's only a 12 volt...
I'm not really "parting" mine out, but I am going to strip the trailer...I want the major components and the trailer, I just don't want everything mounted on the trailer. I think it will be more useful as a permanent installation in my shop.
The drawers I will more than likely not want to...
