I can see where the confusion comes from now. Especially when you start talking about the gaskets and filters...this is the first time I've ever heard about the 3512 filter. As to the gaskets....since they fit into grooves around the canister and a thousandth of an inch off of, or adder to the...
yes it does...it comes packed in the filter # 3148. I ordered them when I bought my deuce in July, so I know they have them and can get them...be more persistent...or buy the filter I listed and take the gasket from it.
Well, I know it can be confusing given the many many posts pertaining to this question. But I have to ask...what is the 3512 filter for???
The 3511 is the primary fuel filter, and by the way DOES NOT come with the correct gasket...you need gasket #5131.
The two secondary fuel filters are...
sounds like fuel to me too. Have you drained the water from the filter bowls? Look for leaks/cracks in the fuel lines where it could be sucking air. I had one that the pump was sucking air and getting water into the fuel when it rained and doing a similar thing...ran for a minute or so then...
First off, I applaud Chris for his efforts to keep the site running smoothly and on track...GOOD JOB CHRIS!!
As to the whole FT situation, I didn't know him but he did have some insightful/useful posts and it is those that I will miss. I have heard from reliable sources that he was given...
Well, unless some sort of miracle happens between now and the rally, I'm probably going to be bringing a bunch (probably 250 at least) of air filters for the 4a032 engines (NSN 2940-00-876-2212)...tell your friends and relatives there is gonna be a sale on filters so come and get-em.
It would appear so...it took me a while to find that one in the print...LOL
It's too late to check mine out for you, but what kind of issues are you having?
read this thread "Pulled the Transmission today!!!" I pulled mine recently and replaced the clutch disk and did the rear main seal while I was at it.
Your problem may not be the rear main...it could be the input shaft of the transmission spewing gear oil into the bell housing. It is a pretty...
Clutch parts can be had from some of the surplus dealers...Saturn Surplus, I believe Coleman's (Both in Millersburg, PA) have them. Eric's Military Surplus in CA has them as well. and many others. The rear main can be had locally at NAPA or any good industrial bearing supplier. It is a CR...
Yeah, Creekside is still FUBAR. I was there on Monday at 7:15...first one in the gate. One other guy came in at 7:20 and we were the only two there. Still just the two of us when I got loaded out at about 8:45!!!!!
1 1/2 hours for one pallet and I was the first guy in and one of only 2 guys...
with or without air, the pedal should be firm!!!!
Going to the floor means either air in the lines, bad MC or maybe wheel cylinder or a leak somewhere, possibly even brake shoes in bad need of adjustment. Even a combination of all of the others listed. Did the pedal "pump" up and get firm, or...
