Hey Skinny - which Centramatics did you get? The fellow at Centramatic who knows all this stuff is Jerry - 800-523-8473

I picked up six (6) late series 12-bolt wheels for $25 each. I am leaning towards using these wheels with spacers, along with HMMWV tires and TWF PVC inserts. The only decision left to make is aluminum-versus-steel spacers, and how to balance the wheel assemblies. If my budget will allow, I...
Rich; My 11.00/20's are 44" tall. I used Rancho 4" springs in the front with Zero Rates for a total of 5" lift. I moved the front axle forward 1". I am running cross-over but not high steer and have no problems. I cut my front fenders back to the inner fender and filled the void with...
Well I might very well go with re-centered wheels after seeing the cost for steel spacers. I need to learn more about re-centered wheels. How does that work?
Ok I have searched and read and searched and read and searched and read some more and still cannot find answers.
I love my custom 11.00/20 wheels and NDT tires for highway use. However for off road use there just isn't enough room under my fenders for articulation. So I plan to put together a...
My 1984 M1028 sat on an Air National Guard base for 25 years and was driven approximately 500 miles per year. When I acquired it in late 2009 it had 12,338 miles. They must have had a lot of JP8.
Here's another (not-so-good) photo taken from the rear of the truck which shows how the U-bolt reverse kit eliminates the bolt ends and nuts from hanging down. (Note: I also relocated the rear shock brackets higher up on the axle tube).
I don't see what the issue is. Here are "before" and "after" photos of the U-bolt reverse kit I installed on my M1028. It was very straight forward and simple to install with no issues whatsoever.
Hope this helps.
I explained this in detail in post #75 of my rebuild thread. There are two things that you should pay attention to - 1.)- the little dot on the valve needs to be positioned at 12:00 with no weight in the truck, and 2.)- the angle of the two actuating arms needs to be at or close to 90 degrees...
Thanks llong66 - I plan on installing the GM 4000 rpm tach as soon as I recover from surgery. I had my left hip replaced on August 8 and am scheduled to have the right hip replaced next Monday. I will have 4-5 weeks rehab and PT after that and then I will be ready to get back to working on my...

Probably have to salvage the little steel piece from a parts truck.
Hope this helps.
