I scrapped one years ago (before I knew the value of front springs) with the front leafs on and no rear suspension parts at all and I think it was around 1900 lbs.

Those type of lift blocks are used a lot in the off-road world but they should be boxed in on the front and back for more support. Having them drop down to the front and back of the axle is the way to go if you have to use them.
I have loaded one in the trunk of a car before with one other guy no problem.

Really?? What makes you so sure? I read it again and all that info could be found on a certain site description and maybe a call to that location. Plus a 7-8 day turnaround for an EUC puts it right after Thanksgiving. I don't know...just a thought.
Off topic for a moment-the trailer is a 21,000 gvw trailer with electric brakes on all 3 axles, as long as the brakes are good it stops it just fine. The tires on the truck are load range E rated over 3500 lbs ea. The load may be over what the book says to haul for the truck but the trailer...
