    CHUCKY'S TREE HOUSE !

I was about to leave to ferry a yacht form TX to FL. A really sweet Gulfstar Sailmaster 50. A few days before the trip, the first mate who lived on the boat came down with with this really ugly rash. Turned out to be impetigo with a side dose of scabies. Poor dude was covered with...

    M1078 AC install

Nice work. Yeah, if you look to the 3116/3126/C7 in civilian applications you will see a/c compressors mounted on the passenger side. I don't know that I've ever seen a non-military setup that used the driver's side.

    CHUCKY'S TREE HOUSE !

Reminds of the old cure for crabs. Razor blade Lighter fluid Ice pick Step one: Shave one side of pubes with razor Step two: Pour lighter fluid on the unshaved side and ignite Step three: As crabs run to shaved side, stab with ice pick

    Question about the M1083

You can find them all over the web for around $70 NOS Honestly, with a good relay you can drop in just about any headlight switch (assuming that you don't use the blackout IR lights to hunt for fires in the dark). The military switches are tough, but not without their issues and not...

    Running temp for an LMTV

Yeah, he confirmed that fan is working to spec.

    Running temp for an LMTV

OK, looks like you've only covered the six slots on the lower bumper. It's possible. Airflow can be funny. If that is the culprit, you should be able to come up with a solution to ram a little air over and down behind that winch mount or something.

    Running temp for an LMTV

Spent a lot of winters in Durango way back in the day. Most of my old haunts and the people I knew are long gone. Miss that place... Never had my 3116 on a grade at any alt but I imagine it should handle it w/o to much overheating. I take it your fan is kicking in at ~200 degrees...

    Roof Sealants/Coatings

Anyone have experience with RVv roof coating products? At some point soon I'll be re-gasketing all my markers and I want to spray (or get sprayed) the cab and hab rooftops. There's a couple big RV places around here and I think there's a bedliner shop that does RV roofs.

New MV Owner 1989 LMTV m1079

Agreed. I've seen plenty of new owners asking about info all the time who totally missed the placard. I'm still finding things on my truck that I did know existed. LOL

New MV Owner 1989 LMTV m1079

Congrats ! Yeah, the data plate located below the driver dash panel will tell you the year S&S made it (the font on the plate can even tell if it went back thru refit for BAE). Take a pic. These trucks are super low gear and the shift points are crazy low. I do suggest reading the...

What is everyone using for stabilizers?

My M1079 hab will sway at night when the wind is howling (and down here, it almost always is). Walking around can sway the rig (even the dog can move it walking around the bed). I'm trying to be careful about left/right weight distribution forward as a result (balancing the captured...

Questions about house batteries - M1083A0 with a 17ft Winnebago on the back

I'm curious about this as I have a 10hp diesel 24v charger. Early on, a buddy told me in no uncertain terms not to attempt to charge a lithium or LiFePo4 battery with any charging system not specifically designed to allow for such. So I replaced the charging head with a generator head...

VSN or MFG Serial No. for Registration?

Clerks can accept SF97s made out from the gov to us *(in our names). no doubt. But the one we all get from BR transfers it from the gov to BR. Technically, it's their truck.
