Odd.
Be sure to slide them in as shown in the diagram (hinge up). I somehow got four to fit (honestly don't recall if the tailgate slipped in there as well).
I stowed mine once when I had my first truck. Two per stowage compartment, iirc. Don't remember what you are supposed to do with the tailgate.
The stakes and crossmember poles will stow as well. The vertical assemblies remain upright and stow in the forward most slots at the from of the bed.
Agreed.
I'd love some detail on the 30 minute install. I mean is it "Step 1; Use your 50 ton material handling crane and remove engine" or "remove wheel, turn four bolts, replace wheel"?
I admittedly have never broken down one of these hubs but I sorta get the gist. I'm VERY good at...
There is a newer version with all LED's. The entire 46 and 24 bars are solid LED like an Amazon bar (I don't think the LED version had the pods).
If you search eBay for "ibis tek light set" you'll see some funny stuff. This kit is listed for a grand; a single 46 bar is $6300. A few...
If you only need to drive it less than a mile, could you gravity feed it with a fuel can and a short hose. Eliminate any leaks or pump issues?
Get it to the barn at least.
Yeah, as much as everything checked out and looked to be 110% legit, I wasn't going to post about it until mime shipped. Too many questionable "too good to be true" things on the web. But yeah, could have saved on shipping had I pushed it out there sooner.
Still, for under...
For those looking at shipping, I used uShip. Shipping was $240 CA > TX via uShip (I took the cheapest which was Roadrunner's quote).
I typically get a quote from uShip and then check directly with the low bidder (sometimes it's even lower).
Mine's a M1079 shop van, so I have a lot of flat roof space.
On an M1078 I'd maybe mount a pole with a flat plate on the top over the air intake or something. On my M1082 trailer, I have mounting points on each corner for flag poles. I use one for the trailer's solar charger. That's...
You can also throw an equalizer/balancer into the mix (two if you run quads).
Just remember that if not on the charger/maintainer the vampire will suck them all down equally if a balancer is in the equation.

Here's what I recommend for charging:
1) search eBay for "24V PulseTech Battery Solar Pulse Charger w/Mounting Kit"
or beter yet
2) charge your dual batteries via shore power (I prefer this over solar because the vampires come at night when the sun is down)...
Bet you a dollar that it's the 12v battery (outboard forward iirc).
These trucks are notorious for a 12v vampiric drain when parked. It will suck the 12v side down (typically pulling that battery down). And when one of the four drops below 12v and the truck will not start...
It's an older design with no key. Just a long tapered shaft on the gen that slips into the cone of the power head. It's all bolted together and friction holds the connection. It's called a "single bearing" gen head (opposed to the belt drivens that are dual bearing).
To make matters...
I have a 10hp Yanmar that was a 24v battery charger. I pulled the alternator head off it and put a 6KW Northstar generator head on it. Worked great for a couple years (only had 50 hours on it and was only run for short duration). The generator head died a nasty death during the big Texas...
