I just got a cheap set of 4' fiberglass trucker whips for now, I bolted them to the A1R grab rail that goes up and over the side windows. I'm not a huge fan of dual phase antennas but they were a cheap solution for now. I added HD ss springs to each antenna (because they will hit...
So many of the things I intended to purchase for the build are not available since the pandemic.
I went to order a bunch of Dynamat stuff, but most of what I needed isn't in stock anywhere.
I need a tapered-shaft 6KW generator head. Haven't found any new in stock after three years...
I got in the stuff for the cab sound/thermal install. Got in a couple radios (CB, HAM, GRMS) and a couple fiberglass whips. Laying out the plans for the front overhead console. Need to get the stereo, amps, and speakers ordered so I can do the interior mockup.
I have the habitat...
Looks like I may have a crushed disk, they think. Been bothering me for about 18 months now. Finally got to the point I went to the doctor. Waiting for them to schedule an MRI now. I'm not entertaining surgery, but hopefully they can do a steroid or epidural kinda thing.
Lifting...
I intended to mount it up front (have it pinned so I could drop out of the way when the cab was raised). Mockup felt like it was not long enough (I think it was like 6' and just didn't look long enough on the front of the LMTV). Now I'm looking at other applications for it (I may have an...
I saw that. Crazy price, IMO.
I did finally see what my two brush guards I have in storage were supposed to be. They were listed as "side racks" but for some reason I never made the MWRP connection...
I imagine that the bushings being failed/missing could result in such a deflection.
I'd certainly start there.
Yeah, you should be able to re-align the rear of the cab then drop in new bushings and bolt it all back together flush.
Yeah, when they were a small, veteran-owned company with more guns than coffee in their ads/videos they were worthy.
No longer true.
I was talking to a guy in Sam's Club the other day and after we chatted he put back the two cases he had in his cart.

So I saw an ad for MRAP light set $250. Full kit: all the lights, remote spots, wiring, controller. You know how if something is too good to be true....well, it was true.
I spoke to the guy over the phone for about 20 mins. It's an aviation company in CA. Saw where...
Pallet arrived today.
They did a great job packing the kit up and sealing it for shipping.
Such a nice kit. Really looking forward to installing it, but I have to make my habitat roof rack and cab rack/brush guard before I can install the lights.
Very impressed with the controller. Top...
There are TM's that cover thru 2005. The electronic copies that were sold for awhile included the updated info thru 2005. The problem is they are cumulative and you really have to surf thru them end-to-end to find the A1 info.
Now the A1R guys......yeah we're screwed.
A few folks have modified the battery box top to fit g31's. You can hack out the nubs that fit down to hold the 6TLs then just fiberglass a patch to fill the hole.
