So, I took my time strippping the gearboxes myself and found green in enough spots that I think it's correct. This has been a really challenging project, as there's nowhere near as much info on correctness issues as there is for Jeeps.
Only colors I found were green on the cases and red on one...
So am I. At first D-town gave me the same dates as we had this year, then a few days later I get an email saying "we're looking for a date, the hunters complained about the noise"
I just want to remind everyone about our sponsor, Memphis Equipment.
Memphis' generosity has really allowed the rally to be what it is. The only place the rally makes money is t-shirt sales. All those other fees are Durhamtown. And when the rally was a cookout in our backyard, there weren't...
At the current time, there is no good solution to the issue.
The Waterloo overdrives are discontinued. You've already done the taller tires. A very few people have added overdrive boxes between the transfer and rear axle, but looking at the pictures makes me think the driveshaft angles would be...
CARC calls for a 1.8-2.2 tip. HF's cheap guns are 1.4.
I've shot CARC through the HF guns but if you can find a cheap gun with a bigger tip, that'd be better.
So how did everyone feel about the date this year? D-town bumped us back from our usual 3rd week in October date to the first weekend in November.
Was this a big deal to anyone? Keep you from attending due to proximity to Thanksgiving?
We're in the process of setting next year's dates so we...
I have leftover 2020, 2019 and 2018 shirts (including a few youth sizes from 2018 ) available for purchase:

Also, I'd like to remind ya'll once again that without Memphis Equipment's support...
So, I'm home. We just finished the 14th rally.
I always have this grand idea of remembering all the people who helped put it on and then I get home and know I'm forgetting half the people.
I hope everyone had a great time. We didn't know what to do this year, pandemic, mass unemployment, etc...
Be aware that D-town is having issues with their phone system. I just tried to call to let them know I'd be late checking in and none of the numbers I had for them worked. I texted a friend already there and he talked to the lodge.
Just got off the phone with Durhamtown, they are having staffing issues due to some medical emergencies (Not Covid-19) and they are trying to come up with staff to send to our field to assist with selling of offroad park passes and camping passes.
If they are unable to send us someone, we'll...
One of our members was smart enough to PM me his insurance card and this reminded me:
If you're planning on going on the hardball convoy, send me a copy of your non-expired insurance card for the vehicle you plan on taking. You can PM it to me here or on the rally Facebook page...
We will have an announcement shortly about how we're replacing the MKT for food this year. Gunnermac will be posting it up in this thread.
I appreciate everyone's patience and all of you should thank Gunnermac this year because us going through with this is 90% because of him.
I would also...
I wish I'd know this a couple weeks ago. I dropped off one of our Land Rover D1 parts trucks at the scrapyard in Braselton and there was a pretty stripped 1009 there with no axles, powerpack, interior, but it had a perfect grille guard on.
