Could be the regulator. The regulator/exciter box is not really sealed. Over years bugs, dust and gunk get in there. Does the voltage adjustment knob on the panel do anything? Have you verified the output with a meter? You can’t always trust the panel meter. When you close the contactor do you...
I hope you dont mind me asking all these questions. On the M939A2 90 psi upgrade (for the M936A2 wrecker primarily) it appears to use the same wheel valves as the lmtv. How do these function properly.
I have 4x4 and 6x6 lmtvs. I never drive my 6x6. Its a novelty but not practical for me. It sits near my older 6x6 trucks that I dont drive either. The 4x4 lmtv is much more maneuverable. Roads are narrow here in CT. I try to move them all a few feet a month so brakes dont get stuck. I would...
I have a friend who races mini electric go karts. He gets the rechargeable battery packs from Ford electric/hybrid cars from the junkyard. They are supposed to be very long lasting and they are light.
On the m939a2 trucks there was an upgrade for running higher pressure. It was a newer ecu, replacement pressure sensor and wheel valve upgrades to what appears to be the same ones as the lmtv uses. Is there any way to trick the first gen lmtv systems into running higher pressure by just changing...
I have one like that. Used to be alot worse. Its an internal thing on mine. The solenoid throws properly on it. The more I used it the better it got. Now it takes maybe 10 seconds to shut down. Used to be around 30-40 seconds.
I dont see why you cant convert everything on a first gen truck. You would loose the 12v trailer control. Have to change out the light flasher. On the power board there is one row of 12v circuits and one row of 24v so its easy to figure out what runs off each voltage.
I would think the dealership would be responsible for making sure you have the proper paperwork. If they can't provide a title or transferrable reg then they should take the truck back. Most states have DMV enforcement units tasked with keeping dealerships on the up and up.
