That’s a shocking result. Really hard to believe actually. I did something similar but I used mlv instead of plywood. I’m still at 72 db idle and 87 db on the highway.
I have found the pertinent pages (at least some of them) finally. for future googlers - TM 9-2320-387-24-2 in the links above (Hummerpartsguy.com)
Starting at pages 575, 1403, and 2004 for the 1165/1151/1167 models
I could only find the part in italics below about the Oil I was...
Thank you for that link. I have downloaded all the manuals from Kascar but, maybe I don’t need those ones.
unfortunately I clicked on every link for every TM on Gear report, and none of them are from June 2009. What am I missing?
My ac is not working in my 1165. I don’t really know where to start, but I figured getting all the pieces connected was a good idea so. I also have not found the proper TM section yet.
The rear evaporator was removed and oil leaked out of one of the lines. I wasn’t sure if I need to top off...
They must see something inside or a reflection. I had a red tailed hawk full dive into my house window once. It may have thought one of my kids toys was a mouse or it saw a mouse in a reflection . It stunned itself and stood next to the house for 4 hours before flying off.
I had a fault in one tail light. It affected both. Not every time, but most times.
it’s the easiest thing to check. Just swap the wires over to a different tail light(assuming you have one)
I have that Orion unit too.
I put in cheap motorcycle speakers. They tend to be super loud and waterproof. The ones I bought sound great, but I never use them. The truck is too loud already and it makes my brain hurt to have speakers so loud you can hear music over the truck noise
Makes sense. I would set the plywood on the tunnel and drill straight through the plywood and down into the tunnel. Drill into the upper ribsUse a short enough bit as to not dip below the height of the ribs. Putting a little foam or something soft between the tub and plywood might help with...
I plugged in my new OEM lights and they work flawlessly. I did have the spray paint them - the China covers did not fit.
however now my Midwest military equipment China side marker lights, both on the passenger side, have failed. I was able to test both location for power with another led light...
Is there a TM for the armor? One project I’m hoping to do a few years down the road, is welding up some rocker panel protection for mine. I’d think I could use a similar mounting system for the bottom foot well area
For those that care I downloaded a free app on my phone - dB meter - to record my decibels before and after the sound proofing doing. I have an 1165a1 hard top roof and aftermarket fiberglass doors.
highway speed -60-70mph- 90 dB
Country roads, take me home -35-45 mph - 85 dB
Idle - 76 dB...

if that carpeting durable? Or would it rip if there’s a have bag thrown on it for example
my top and doors are good now too from rain, but I still get some water in from around the snorkel and windshield washer bottle areas in the front driver and passenger footwell. And a little around the...
