I hope they sell parts again soon. Who’s doing all the buying? I don’t think the US has passed any big military bill recently. Do y’all trust parts from non-humvee specific vendors (like Mac motors etc)??? Engine parts aren’t military specific. for example I need a new fan clutch, I found...

    REV overheating - normal?

For the life of me i can’t find the parts list for the Rev trucks. Where would I find the fan clutch part number for the heated fan drive? which TM has the parts for the REV trucks? I’ve clicked through all the ones labeled as such but I must have missed one. and just to confirm 12551497...

    REV overheating - normal?

So regarding fans…. Mine spins all the time. As soon as you turn the key the fan starts. Is that normal for the geared fan drive? I’m guessing it’s not. would a bad fan clutch on this thing cause it to run continuously then give out on the highway?

    Finding a mechanic

Well that’s encouraging I guess. Hopefully I can find a veteran of the motorpool working at some of these places!

    Finding a mechanic

As much as I’d like to fix my own vehicle and learn more about it, I’m finding I really just don’t have the time.id be able to drive it more if I could get it fixed for me. I’m not expecting to find any Humvee mechanics around my area, but has anyone had luck with diesel shops that have...

    "Rod Hall" GMV Suspension

Looks great. Mine fits 40s no running. Steers with 1 finger. What tires did you find to fit the stock wheels?

    "Rod Hall" GMV Suspension

Yours has the B3FK5. Mine is just the1165A1. That could be a difference? Also the 1167 is 13,100 GVWR.

    "Rod Hall" GMV Suspension

This tag says 15,500. That’s over 1.5 tons of extra payload compared to the 1165. It’s gotta come from the springs right??

    Mrfarb’s 2009 M1151a1 build thread

Thank you for this. It’ll be a few months before I can get to this but I need to go through the same process. I’m curious, can all those wires and relays be checked before adding any of the gas or vacuum? I’d probably let an auto shop do that part.

    Mrfarb’s 2009 M1151a1 build thread

Ugh. I have to go through this for mine too, and I have no idea where to start. Please let us know what you find as you go through it. Please link the other thread if you don’t mind.

    "Rod Hall" GMV Suspension

I feel like my rev truck rides great, much better than I expected.Better than the a2 truck I rode in only once. what’s the GVWR on the 1151? It’s it 15,500#?? My 1165 I believe is 12,200# or so. Don’t quote me on those weights I’m just going off memory here, but I assume heavier springs or...

    Rear fender dimensions m1165a1

Thank you. I’m not sure how much variation there is in the difference tops, maybe there’s none. My top ends about centered on the fuel filler neck.

    Rear fender dimensions m1165a1

I’m away visiting family for the summer, so I can’t get these measurements. And we need to buy a new cooler, one of those expensive yeti style ones. Id like a cooler to fit up above the rear tire, strapped down on top of the fender. So if someone could tell me the width of the fender...

    REV overheating - normal?

I had a chance to get the truck out yesterday. I drove it 20 mins accross town, kept it idling and felt the rad hose. I could squeeze it for a good 4 Mississippi before it was too hot to tolerate. I didn’t know if it had heated up enough, I put the truck in second gear and drove another 10...

    REV overheating - normal?

Forgive me for the newbie questions. But the TM says to “feel the upper radiator hose” as a way to diagnose a problem with the thermostat . Am I feeling fit temperature or pressure of the hose??

    REV overheating - normal?

I checked fluids before and after, so there’s plenty of antifreeze. I’ll have to search the TMs later and see where to start. Unfortunately I’m working crazy hours right now and also moving so it’ll be a while before I can get to anything
