Or you just have an air leak in a line or in the fuel filter base. Maybe check this out before taking apart IP.
Staying away from rust is smart if you plan to fix up or restore.
I bought an 002 w ASK from GL that was set up the same way. No surprise there was some water in the cylinders. I thought maybe it had been run at some point with flex tubing.
The whole bed is a tool box, and no there is not really room for another under wheel well.
The whole truck is same as 1028 except for bed and transfer case, which has a little lower low gears and ability to take PTO.
Off roading ability would be affected by the extra ton or so of weight of...
When you put fuel pump push rod in when replacing lift pump, a gob of grease on inside end will hold rod in place when you re install plate and attach pump.
I would just buy a rebuilt IP and send the core in and hope they credit you. Am going to be replacing one today in one of my work trucks. To do the job well takes long enough without getting into the internals of the pump. If you have a lot of time and patience, are really interested in how...
I just checked this again on office computer. Also windows 7 pro. Picture came on with a pop up add for MA auto insurance with moving script. Clicked on it a second time and add was gone, picture filled full screen. Mayby flash block or something blocking it for some people?
Last time I got some from Rock auto they had a selection of 3 types, including AC Delco. There was a big price difference but the AC balancer was USA made. May have been NOS though.
Leaky sensor in fuel filter mount would be a prime suspect from what you describe as first problem. Oil leak could be separate issue. On that you might want to check EGR valve.

Isaac-1 in above post #4 started it.

The Lizard skin product is water based polymer. It works pretty well as intended to deaden sound in interior, but wonder if it would hold up as well as a solvent based bedliner on exterior panels.
These are perfectly reliable as local daily drivers and work trucks. But if you are not interested in learning basic mechanic and DC electric skill set, these trucks may not be for you. There is a lot of information on this site and downloadable TMs. It is good to remember that you are...
Am following this because the insulation in my 002 ASK unit has seen better days. Would not mind replacing it. With the ASK unit and a added muffler, this generator is quiet enough to talk near and also does not attract a lot of attention to itself.
Had mice ruin a welder once. Most of the...
Doing a complete wire harness swap makes sense to me. It would be more work than it is worth to try to interface the two. If I was putting a 5.9 Cummins in a CUCV, I would consider a different transmission than the TH 400 in the CUCV. The power band on Cummins is strong but narrow (RPMs)...
