Grats on the truck !
There are two tanks for the cab/tire lift system. One is at the manual pump and one is up behind the cab/spare. Easiest way I have found is to fill from the upper tank and bleed from the manual pump tank. Certainly start there.
If it is leaking/misting oil then the...
Yeah, it's that extra weight in the RV build combined with the 11 months a year 90 degree S. Texas heat that I want to add the aux cooler.
But like you say, most trucks won't need it unless they are heavy towing.
That's my plan.
Or I may go all ghetto red neck and delete the OEM cooler.
I have a lot of research to do given mine is a C7 (no telling what the computers will do or think if I add or delete things), but I've seen CAT/Allison powered RVs with aux coolers so the basic idea is out there.
Yeah, it's a cooler.
Never made sense to me that all cars with automatic transmissions ran "cooling" lines into the car/truck's radiator to be bathed in boiling coolant. But that's how it works.
I'm adding a aux trans-cooler to my rig. It's the same one mounted upright on the M1089 wreckers...
I was just responding/posting a working link that Serpico had posted. The one he linked via tapatalk was borked (at least on my browser). Tapatalk doesn't play well with DragonByte and most PC browsers. It also can bork the images posted thru Tapatalk as DragonByte can't store them locally...
Yeah, he said he's aware of such options..
But he wants to use the OEM hole with zero modification.
I'm not aware of anything that fits w/o at the very least some filing/grinding.
Yeah, Tapatalk borks links, too.. It just doesn't play well with Dragonbyte (the forum software).

The A1R stuff isn't in the public domain. I've been trying to find the TM's for three years now.
The material handling bits should be the same across the variants.
Yeah, they are blood refrigerators from medical units. Can also set to freezer mode.
I added hinges, gas struts, and a couple rubber latches to the removable lid. Then put in a plexiglass floor with vents (it had no bottom inside as the bags sit in racks). Added the light and USB port...
I go to the beach.
I go to the beach a LOT.
I use my phone at the beach.
My phone needs to be charged.
I drink beer.
I keep beer cold in the cooler.
I take the cooler to the beach.
I drink beer at the beach.
I charge my phone in my beer cooler.

The M1089 is beyoind my scope (only had the four wheel variants myself).
Wild guess, but could it be a failed temp sensor?
Ie: the engine fan will come on at start up but then shut down until the 200 degree mark where the sensor turns it back on
Perhaps the trans cooler works in a similar...
Nice
Yeah, we saw that storm line here right after sunrise. Today was about 20 degrees off normal. Nice except we'll be blessed with mosquitoes for the next two weeks as a result.
I had a Jetski and HobieCat rental for 20 years. My business partner was a local sailboat dealer and I did rigging for a lot of years (everything from Lasers to J-Boats to Camper&Nicholsons)

I'll use what looks good and lasts.
LOL
I've gotten some swatches from these guys.
I've used their marine vinyl and neoprene before, too...
