All Orange wires at the GP relay should be on the Glow Plug side of the relay. The diagram in the TM is incorrect.
Attached is the correct version of the glow plug circuit.

I would clean the contacts and change the fuse out to a new fuse.
If it is still happening, while in the failure mode, check the voltage at the fuse to ensure that portion of the circuit is functioning.
It's that time of year for battery related issues to start showing up. Just bumping this thread to remind everyone to check your battery connections and wiring.
It would also be a good time to check ALL the glow plugs and the GP system to ensure that it is functioning properly.
