I've never seen a military application for the rear PTO, but I am new to WWII Jeeps (last 6 months or so) and am still learning.
I can't answer if yours is correct. You'll have to wait for some more WWII Jeep guys to answer that. I don't think it is, but I am not an expert.
How big are your images? The site should be resizing them. The following image is almost 2.5 megs, it's 3648x2736.
Send me a pm with the date you sent it and who the mod was...

Would really like to have another. Should never have sold our first one. aua

After that, a good maintenance program with the following actions (but not limited to) will get you on your way.
Oil change with new oil filters
Fuel filter change
Remove drum/hubs and inspect brake shoes...
Also, with almost anything you find on the truck, a quick google search will yield a lot of info.
For instance, the MWO # on the tag above comes back with the following gems:

If a vehicle has really had a full blown "rebuild"* there will be a tag something like this on it somewhere:
*There are a lot of people who either erroneously believe or have an ulterior motive to proclaim; that their trucks have been "depot" rebuilt and a lot of times with nothing more to...
I am glad you brought this up because it means I should have made this more clear:
So when ya'll see all the pics of the trailrides, naturally the pictures that get posted the most are of the most extreme stuff-because it's cool to see giant 6x6's doing stuff you expect little Wranglers to be...
