NOTE TO ALL EARLY ARRIVALS:
swbradley1 and amgeneral72 will be arriving Sunday and they will direct how the swap meet is to be laid out. We ask that any early arrivals hold off on setting up their swap meet space.
If you choose to set up early, we expect to hear no whining whatsoever when...
And if you buy it, you need to get as much info about it's history as possible, because you'll be it's next caretaker and one day when you send it to it's next duty station, you have to be able to tell them all about it.
I'd like to see more pics of it and hear how they ended up with it. Are...
I can't begin to tell you what it's worth, but it's really cool. We got to see one at the National Convention in Louisville this past June.

Keep in mind if you buy one of these, you'll be a really cool guy with a really rare piece of WWII...
So I figure the steering box is pouring gear oil out the shaft seal, the injection pump is leaking or the air compressor is leaking oil somewhere.
I would soak the entire front end with degreaser, clean it and drive it a little and see if you can more clearly diagnose the source.
I went back and watched the 2013 video. With 36 vehicles, it took 2 minutes and 6 seconds on the first "pass" and 2 minutes, 10 seconds on the second.
That's measuring when the lead vehicle is about a 100' from the camera and a couple seconds after the last one passes...
This is a good event, we did it in 2007 I think.
If you go, you need to check out the military museum in town. It's small but really good, especially if you're in interested in WWII stuff.

The museum has a...
I run regular gas in mine. Like NDT said, modern (ethanol) as doesn't like to sit for long periods, so if you aren't driving the vehicle regularly, do something about it.
I should mention clintogf has new red and amber marker lights on the cheap:

Bought 100' of 1/4" off eBay, bought 100' of 1/2" from my local Fleet Pride store. They had to order it.
Obviously I didn't use 200' on just this project. I've been using it for any wiring project I do on both my and my customers trucks.
Here is the Grote page with the part #s of all the...
Ooooh, I can help with this!
So I got really paranoid driving my deuce at the blistering pace of 52 mph in Atlanta with everyone else going 80 (or 100 on 285) so I decided to mimic the M939 series marker light setup on mine. I am still debating whether to copy the M35A3 setup in the rear, with...
Alright, listen up folks.
We are now less than 2 weeks out. So you need to make sure that you have:
Serviced your vehicles and equipment so they are safe and reliable.
Have a plan for lodging (camping, cabin, RV, etc.)
Have a travel plan for getting to the event and back home.
You need...
I love the M38A1-I think it's really the best military Jeep out there. A lot more comfortable than the G503 and the M38 (MC). They're 24V so you can slave your M35 off it. Waterproof wiring.
I checked their website literally the day I made the official rally thread.
I'll be honest with everybody: Durhamtown changes their stuff a LOT and one hand doesn't know what the other is doing on any one day.
So I ask that participants be flexible: If you expect a $25 fee, you may get there...
Good thinking. Stopping is important.
Before we go any further, I want to ask why you think it needs upgrading. My personal truck will lock all 10 tires at speed.................. and that's with a 100% stock system with old airpacks. If the stock braking system exceeds the capacity of the...
You have an early truck that was probably originally a gasser. When the military rebuilt it into a multifuel, the tach was added under the dash.
Gasser dash frames have a smaller opening for the instrument cluster as they didn't have a tach originally. There are several different varieties of...
