Thraxen,
Welcome to the board. Nice to see another Montanan. You could try U ship and see if there is any interest. I drove mine from Spokane, Wa to Stevensville, Mt and although it was a fun experience I don't think I'd drive it from PA to Montana. It would probably be cheaper to ship it than...
Glen,
Don't bother with looking at the cover for now. I had to redirect the finances to some cars issues. I'll get in contact with you at another time and see if you still have any available. I know your a busy guy so I wanted to make sure I let you know so you are not investing your time...
:shrugs:
Next time you'll have to turtle wax the paint and Armor All the tracks if they are rubber because everyone seems to like things new and shiny looking.:shrugs:
Glen,
Still waiting to hear back from you on closing the deal for the trailer cover. If you want I can PM you my phone number or you can give me your number.
Thanks!
Tim
Hooked up the trailer and dragged it around. I didn't leave the property so I didn't bother hooking up the air line for the brakes or safety chains.
I like the pintle hitch on the front bumper because it makes it easy to push the trailer into a parking spot. BTW that's the wife pushing back the...
I think for next month if you choose to run this again, I'd have the member submit a picture of their vehicle with a short narrative about it. When you the moderator post them, I'd lock the post to just a vote otherwise it becomes a thread with every ones comments. To keep it from having to be...
I'm not a HMMWV guy but wouldn't it be better for what your using the vehicle for, to get rid of the slant back top and put on a helmet top? More storage space for equipment? I would consider myself a purist and I don't see any problem with modifying the vehicle to fit your needs, especially for...
Do you have a link stating this because I just did a search and it brings up manuals. It will only open manuals coded A. I have both the 1988 and 2006 version of the manual asked about and the 1988 is coded C and the 2006 is coded A.
I recovered mine out of Fairchild AFB 5/31/2012. Below is the info you requested.

The most miles I put on it was during the recovery drive from Spokane WA to Stevensville, MT.
I'd recommend posting your question on the www.g838.org site. This site is dedicated to the 151 jeeps and there is a gentlemen over there with the user name muttguru that you can contact and he might be able to help with your contract number question. If you have the original data plate and can...
All the replacement data plates are made with fill in the blank lines. The only way you will be able to get an exact copy of your old plate is to find someone that can do it but it won't be cheap. There was an individual a few years ago that was going to start producing these plates with the...
Fuel Pump
Okay, when I posted this it was a cut and paste for another sites WIKI. The pump you want is an Airtex 60577. Autozone has them for 19 bucks. These are mechanical pumps used on 1960's era Plymouth Valiant. The only difference is that you won't b eable to ford a river with the civilian...
M151A2…Airtex, customer part number 021163, catalog number 928M, cost USD43, available at Autozone.
or also usable, but not identical fuel pump for mid 60s Valiant with slant six
The guy is in his late 80's and is asking 15-20K probably because he is done with flying and is trying to retire. All though you have no intent on flying it, you should plan on keeping it airworthy. One day you may decide to sell and it will be worth more $$ in an airworthy condition. My advise...
Most likely the engine is from a civilian power wagon of the era. Check the head on the forward drivers side for T245 in the beginning of the number. If it doesn't start with it, then it is a civilian block.
Did the gentlemen that sold you the truck get it from GL or a private party? Who ever applied the tan paint didn't do a good prep job. The truck will look real nice when your done, keep up the good work.
