Thanks this is what I need to know. As far as surplus seals, the only issue is how they are being stored. The shelf life on these type of seals is 15 years but can be longer if stored properly. However, a new seal can fail just as fast as a NOS seal.
Already asked a vendor and if its available at any other place than it must be under a different part number because I haven't found it anywhere else. This must be why $50 bucks is the going rate.
Are there any new production seals being manufactured at this time? I'd hate to go through the work of changing the seal only to have it leak because the NOS seal I put in there is over 10 years old.
Let see if I can explain myself better. I wasn't asking about adding IP/GP to have interaction with the company. My thought was in the "Government Liquidation/DRMO/GSA" section to add IP/GP to the header. In the section titled "Suggestions", add IP/GP to the narrative. Finally, in the "...
Since Iron Planet (IP) took over the rolling stock from Gov. Liquidators (GL), has it been discussed or mentioned about adding an IP section within the discussion section that GL is in?
I would suggest after you get it running to check your oil. The rubber diaphragms in the fuel pumps don't like ethanol. Since its been sitting your fuel pump diaphragm can be leaking fuel into your oil pan. I'm not suggesting this is your issue with it dying, just a word of advice after you get...
Although it was auctioned out of the FT. Lewis DRMO, it could have came out of Fairchild AFB. When I got my truck out of Fairchild a few years back the guy in charge of the site told me that they ship most of their stuff to FT. Lewis to auction in off. The reason my truck was being auctioned at...
I can an 89 that I recovered from Fairchild AFB and it has vacuum wipers and no power steering. Whom ever you bought it from must have done these mods. Also the front pintle hitch is handy for pushing trailers into parking spaces thats why they were added. Take a look at this months MV contest...
Okay, I'll self nominate my 1989 M35A2C. I won this truck a few years ago from a GL auction out of Fairchild AFB, WA. It has just over 5K miles on it. This is my favorite photo of it with my jeep. The second photo is my wife doing a push back on the trailer I just recovered from another GL...
That's what I needed to know. Found one locally for sale and would rather buy it than one of the newer ones. Personally the older ones have better lines and curves, where as the newer ones look like a refrigerator box.
Looking at getting one of these 5 tons and had a question as to the amount of room in the cab. If you were to compare it to a M35, would you say that there is more room for the driver in a M813 or is it the same as the M35?
